Hey Guys,

Location: JBA infiniti Ellicott City, MD

I took my car in today to get it looked at and they first told me "oh its not ratttling". I was like u dumb *****; wait for it to get cold (this is right after I drive thru the service bay). They gave me a loaner (busted *** g35x) and they checked it again which she claims isnt any different than before. I talked to the Manager chick (Barb) and she said yeah its either the heat sheild or something else but if the sheild is off its going to create a lot of heat.

They are keeping my g37 overnight to test it in the morning which I AM SURE will produce a harder rattle.

Post up after it gets worked out....

Hey guys,

I am glad I was not the only one hearing this problem. I kind of overlooked the problem for a few weeks now since I have been on business trips and the car has been sitting in my garage. I recently received a PM from Ahujadaddy about his service at Sheehy, and had I Jeff at Passport Infiniti inquire about his issues from Sheehy Infiniti. He was able to pull up the service write-up, and see what the problems were.

Jeff, without even looking at my car, already ordered the mufflers for me and I will be getting them replaced next week sometime. I have to say that Jeff stays on top of his stuff at Passport. I would have gone to Sheehy but, working in DC Passport is about 5 miles out for me from work.

When I get the rattling fixed, I will post again in here. Big thanks to Ahujadaddy.

No rattle yet for me... Just a throaty sound when you first crank it.

Mine just started doing that the other day. I am taking it in soon for an oil change so I will have them look at that too. Hopefully it will be quick and painless...

may i suggest you bring it in.

problem is broken baffler inside muffler, not good for you to leave in there broken pieces of metal.

I mean it's your brand new whip.

just so you know, the coupe only has one muffler dealer took 2 dys to get.

good luck!

Just got word back from my dealer, they'll be replacing my muffler as well. I had the same issue. When cold, for the first minute or two, there'd be an awful racket coming from in there. Stepping lightly on the gas would make it go away, and after the car had warmed up it would stop.
