Anyone here have experience with the Z1 remote tune? I hade mine tuned by them. It is slower than the stock tune. I tested it multiple times and multiple different locations, ran the z1 tune, then flashed to the stock tune and did some runs. I'm talking at the drag strip, dragy app, and the ecuteck performance analyzer. Oh and also a whole other car with the Z1 tune. Same day, same road/track but the stock tune file vs the final Z1 tune file. On two different g37x sedans. What we found was the z1 tune was a friggin second slower than the stock tune no matter where and what we did. My 0-60 is 6 seconds on all three records with the z1 tune. Flashed back to the stock tune and boom, I run 5.2 or around there every time. Same exact situation with my friends car just slightly different numbers. Drag strip My car does a 14.3 LOL.... And both our cars have less than 60k miles on them. I'm not trying to be the guy was the fastest NA g37 or go to the drag strip every weekend but something doesn't seem right. What do you guys think? Am I just over thinking this? Emailing Z1 today.
I have a Z1 remote tune and the car seems fine. I ran a 13.9 but with a terrible launch (wheel hop) and on 20's. I am sure if I had 18's I would have ran a 13.5 no problem. It def was faster than it was stock. I think contacting them is the right answer. Also what mods do you have?

I'm on 19 rays, k & N drop ins, m370 intake manifold, full fast intentions exhaust with res test pipes. second g37 has full z1 exhaust with test pipes and takeda long tube intakes. Also on the 19 rays.
Some years ago when 4DRZ still had his 6MT Sedan, he got a remote tune with Z1 Motorsports, and it was not a good experience. I believe he went through dozens of maps before he was satisfied. Literally dozens, and he had to chase them down to get the service he was looking for.
I like Z1. Heck, I have a number of Z1 products. But when it came time to get my car tuned, I went elsewhere.
That said, if I lived within driving distance of their shop, I wouldn't have hesitated to hire them for an in-house dyno tune.

I wish I had done a little more research before I purchased. I am currently on map number 10. I couldn't find any local shops that would tune with an in house dyno. I may try and find one within a decent driving distance if this doesn't get sorted out.
Tuner said it most like was bad gas and the ecm pulled the ignition timing.
Getting somewhere now tho, just did some pulls/data logs with a new map and the car felt much better.

Car feels a lot better, got the tune figured out. My 0-60 after getting the new map. A lot better than 6 seconds lol. I found I was shifting way too late with the 35HR manifold because it brings the peak down to 6800-7000 rpm. So I started shifting much earlier and it was faster. Also on 19 inch wheels and I believe my speedometer is a little off because of that so take that into account.
The price of Z1's tuning is a little steep compared to some other remote tuners. I've kinda steered away from my original tuner but I'll use him for retunes if I need it. I have been venturing elsewhere for my car modification needs
Z1 makes great products but I had a few users in my Nissan discord run the Z1 tune and was 50/50 on it

They have gone to **** after they got bought 3 plus yrs ago by ECS Tuning, nothing good came from it as the consumer, other than empty hopes they would make it right... nope not at all
