How do I tune my g37 to get rid of the throttle lag?

I experience the acceleration problem too sometimes. I have tried 2 pedals. One that came with my car and one I got off ebay used. Both of them read the same voltage for 1 and 2 accelerator sensor. Maybe we can get someone to chime in who doesn't experience acceleration hesitation on what their readings are. The research I did and my 03 maxima shows opposite values are correct. I have yet to look at any other infiniti or nissan vehicle data from another car to tell. The tech in your above picture states opposite values are correct. I guess the question is are the voltages supposed to be scaled opposite on these cars or are they supposed to read the same. If they are indeed supposed to read opposite then it looks like one of the sensors has failed in our pedals.

Ok I did some more research. The tech is talking about your throttle position sensor which is located on your throttle body. A new one will fix that. The accelerator pedal issue is still weird to me though. The service manual states that 1 and 2 pedal sensors do have different readings sensor 1 around .45v to 4.8v. Sensor 2 ranges .22v to 2.5v. Sensor 1 for me reads .735v to 4.33v. Sensor 2 .68v to 4.46. So according to the SM my pedal is bad. Something else I noticed was I was sitting at .735 but if I shook the pedal around it would bottom back out to .7. So I pulled on the pedal some to stretch it back out and now it sits closer to .7. I'm guessing the pedals get worn or the springs get weak or are weak from the factory, especially all the stomping it gets, then the bottom reading changes so the ECM gets confused sometimes and also if its only reading 1 sensor. I would still like to see some readings from others and learn what theirs says.

Need a new pedal w/ sensor

//2012 G37 Coupe//

Can someone link me to where I can buy a pedal with a sensor? I don't want to accidentally get the wrong one.

I'm thinking Ebay should be okay? Or should I avoid?

Ebay is fine. This is the most abused control interface on the car so there is a good chance a used one will be broken too. Unless you can test before you buy make sure you go with a new one. I'm pretty sure there is only nissan oem available.

Is this the same product as the one you linked? If not, what's the difference? I think I have an accelerator pedal sensor problem (after 40 mph its nothing but dead spots and slow throttle).

That looks fine. There is a silver model and a black model. Hope it fixes your problem.

Help me understand this TSB

I've scoured the forums for a while now and seen a lot said about the TSB update in regards to the slow throttle response. Some say it made hardly any difference and some are raving about it... drives like a different car, difference is night and day, hallelujah, etc. My question is, why the wide range of discrepancy? Has there been a consensus reached about whether the update fixed the issue or not?

...did it work for you?

...just to add, my 2012 already came with it. I'm sure that is why I haven't experienced some of the other issues like RPM flares... but as far as the poor throttle response I'm still in the same boat.

I bought a 2015 Q40 with 60k miles that was shifting badly so I took it to the dealer for an engine oil change and told them about it...they said to do a trans oil change and relearn so I took it home and thankfully just before the deep freeze hit changed the trans fluid and today reset the ecu and drives totally different. No throttle lag and crisp shifts.

I'm about to do transmission fluid change myself, I can't do an ECU reset because I have a tune though.. hopefully I'll get a similar result.

ECU reset can be done by disconnecting the battery over night. Then follow those relearn steps in my previous post. then with a transmission fluid exchange, you are on the right track to making this shift better.
