Sprint Booster?

Has anyone ever bought/used a sprint booster? Modbargains claims that it is meant to help eliminate the lag that is associated with accelerating sometimes on the G. Does it work? and is it something you do instead of getting a tune or can you get a tune on top of it?

If you get a tune there are throttle maps in there that do the same thing as a sprint booster from what I understand. Would be pointless to have both.

not worth the money IMO. save a little more and get a tune. had one for my g35. the only thing it did, was make the ECU think you got on the throttle more than you are, so it feels "perkier" (if that makes sense). EX. if you press the throttle peddle 50 percent the ECU thinks you are pressing on it 60 percent. (percentages are just for example, not sure what they actually are)

i liked my tune better. it felt like the power delivery was a lot smoother, and also it just made more power. (i had all the bolt ons). also the throttle response was still really good anyway.

but if you do decide to get it let us know what you think.

What tune do you have or recommend?

it fixed the lag? heard ecutek is the way to go for the lag aspect of the 7AT tranny. Are you driving a manual or automatic?

Pretty sure both ecutek and uprev can adjust both the transmission shift lag and the throttle response lag.

All it does is make your pedal more sensitive. It makes the car think you're at full pedal sooner

I am not entirely sure, I would imagine they are around the same price point. Just find a tuner you trust and see which one he uses. Or get remote tuned by Seb at SpecialtyZ and see which one he prefers to use

No just makes peddle more sensitive so you can get full throttle at 3/4 pedal push

If that's all you're trying to accomplish, then yes, it does that. My guess is that it gets a bad reputation because people think it should make the car faster - it doesn't. All it does is it gets rid of the lag. It also isn't the cheapest thing out there. But price/value aside, yeah, it does what you're asking.
