Poll: Is the UPREV Tune worth it?
Sounds good. One thing that I am still undecided on though is finding a Cat Back exhaust that does not make the exhaust louder since the HFCs are on the car. If I could find one of those then I would do the uprev afterwards.
uprev tune worth the investment
Whats up to all my fellow g users, I finally just got my 2011 infiniti g37x s coupe, traded my 2008 infiniti g35x in. before that i owned a 2004 infiniti g35x so bascially this is my third G. i knew what to expect when i got my g xs coupe, not much more power however because of the drive, stiffer suspension, different steering feel, etc I am able to go faster due to better handling etc. In that case i am very satisfied. I would just be happier if i had a little more juice at lower rpm, lower speeds etc.. In general would be happy with a few more HP, nothing major like like a FI can produce but say 340-350 would be nice. If i pop some test pipes and get a up-rev tune, will that give me a few more hp, 5-6 i would be happy, like i said, I'm not trying to race or anything but a little more power would be nice. Im not sure i want to invest in Cia either but if it actually makes a difference perhaps but im not to convinced w cia to begin with. Any advice would be gladly appreciated.
IF you are done modding then yes. Worth it the big gains are midrange , IT just make the car more fun to drive.
BXwerewolf there is no way to see 350-360 WHP with out FI, Unless you talking about crank HP.

oh, sorry about that, yes, i meant @ crank, not at wheels, of course , that would be insane, anyways, thanks for quick responce, i found a guy near me that does uprev tuning, however its going to cost a little bit more due to mine being awd.

Here is my review on Uprev, and what it's all about. Hope it helps.

looks like you got some good results, I hope my guy is as good as your guy, Im in NY, lower westchester. Any good shops for this type of tune any one know of in my area? otherwise i only know of apituning in Yonkers NY
Whys it more? You mean the dyno cost? I have AWD also, To run both rollers they charge more but the tuning shouldn't be different
I was tuned with just intake and catback and noticed the improvement. Only probably gave me a 6-10whp gain, but its throughout the band, and more importantly for me, the throttle sensitivity was changed to get rid of any delay when tapping the accelerator.
No way. The actual tune should be 1-2hours TOPS (and at $85-100/hr of tuning). Unless you are changing your fuel delivery system and adding forced induction, its easy to tune the G because the ECU and MAFs already do a decent job of accommodating the changes. License is usually $300-400.
