How were the shifts up and down? I have seen they become even more harsh on upshift. Overall how is the throttle response and smoothness with the 7AT?

my shifts are just fine and right where they should be. I dont think the upshifts are any harsher. I have the 5 spd AUTO (08). In my opinion, this transmission is much better than the 7spd G's I have driven. to each their own though.

From: Framingham Ma,
Mine on the 7spd are very firm , good snaps into gear at 3/4 to wot . Down shifts and very quick also. The tune I have the trq management was done very well

The 5SPD AUTO is Stronger n Better than our 7SPD Transmission.

UPREV is the best we have at the moment. I'm not truly impress since ECUTEK has control of the ECU and Timing than UPrev. I wish Uprev didn't get lazy and ECUTEK to come out with more features.

??? Can you show a sheet, Ive never heard of a STOCK car gain 25WHP with a tune. Cause what you state means stock car NO mods and UPREV and went from 270ISH( Stock WHP) to 295 WHP? 295 WHP is more like intake ,exhaust and tune. Hell I only got 2 WHP gain Up top on the tune I made all my gains (18+) in the mid range. Intake ( Gen 3's and catback)

I don't have any engine modifications and running all stock. Would an UPREV tune benefit me? I'm trying to get rid of the throttle lag and improve the shifting.

Here is my car on Dyno at UpRev. You can see the full mod list on the video.

All bolts no tune first pull was 301.00 and after tune 325 WHP. You CAN get these car to 400HP at crank 340+ wheels with the right mod compliments and the right car. (They are all not created equal)

So yes, it is absolutely worth every penny of tune

Im sorry but I beg to differ and think your statement is misleading, pls show me a G that has just bolt ons + a tune putting down 340 to the wheels. Only way your doing 340 + is having FI. To get 40-65hp justfrom bolt ons is absurd on a G.

Not really. Maybe 65 is a bit too much, but so far I got 37.5 whp with intake, RHFC, and CBE. A tune might bring me up a bit more.

There might be some deviation but there is at least 30whp to be gained with full bolt ons without a tune.

I would just be happier if i had a little more juice at lower rpm, lower speeds etc.. In general would be happy with a few more HP, nothing major like like a FI can produce but say 340-350 would be nice. If i pop some test pipes and get a up-rev tune, will that give me a few more hp, 5-6 i would be happy, like i said, I'm not trying to race or anything but a little more power would be nice. Im not sure i want to invest in Cia either but if it actually makes a difference perhaps but im not to convinced w cia to begin with. Any advice would be gladly appreciated.
Dude...Takeda long tube CAI all the way IMO. You can get one used if you watch the PC's. Plus they deliver just .5 hp less than the pricey stillen gen 3. Installing the Takeda LTCAI was my first mod. I trades a g35 for a vert G37, and I was a lil disappointed until the LTCAI have the car that rush of power that I felt it so desperately needed. Plus it was really easy to install.
