Yeah it looks like that (as unfortunate as it may be) is our best option to make it back in a reasonable amount of time that night. I have a friend in New Orleans who can pick us up and drive another hour to get to gulfport but I'm not sure I want to bother him. I will only do it if the tickets are like $50 or less or something crazy.

Well it looks like it's that 5:30 am flight either Friday or Saturday Jon. If you're in let me know which one you want and I'll go for it. I've got to get these biatches ordered fool. And if you can't make it or would rather do something constructive with your Weekend let me know that too.

I talked it over with my girl and she gave me the old "it's up to you" line... Essentially what that means is that I can go but will have hell to pay once I get back! That 5:30am flight is gonna be rough too ... then to be followed up by a 7+ hour drive

Are you sure that lifter problem is going to survive nearly 600 miles???

Yeah I agree, but I only have to do it once.

IMO I think the lifte ris just damaged and not totally collapsed. I think once the oil pressure builds and the temperatures normalize the lifter will function. Maybe not perfectly but there will be a little movement. Enough to make it up here and get it worked on. But yeah it will be quite the adventure. An always another plus to being a single man....No one to OK these little trips with.

Yeah isn't that the truth ... but I've been a single man for long enough Although the goods definitely outweigh the bads when you find the right one to remove your bachelorhood

If we didn't have so much still to plan for our wedding, honeymoon, and the reception party in Chicago 2 months following it wouldn't be an issue. It's hard when your family is spread all over creation and can't really help out...

Absolutely no big deal sir. I will happily make the trip to get the beast back up here. I can suck it up for one day out of my life right.
