Mark350GT's Ride
Well, I met up with Mark tonite to check out the 2nd TT at SMU. It is a very clean install, the chrome piping looks great. The BOV is after the MAF (which was my one huge suggestion to avoid) but it seems to work, didn't have enough time to see if there was any vacuum leaks or fouls with an atmospheric BOV such as his. From what he was telling me the car is running the stock boost set by Greddy of 5.5 psi. The car hasn't gone in for a tune yet. The only other suggestion I would put out there as a near future mod would certainly be a heavy duty clutch and lightweight flywheel. The stock clutch didn't feel like it was transfering all of the power to the driveshaft. The torque should be higher with that set up and I think it's drivetrain loss where the torque disappears. It makes good power all the way to about 6000 rpms. The last 500 rpms fall off (mine does that too and that is the nature of TT power bands on stock cams) All in all it was a clean install and makes a lot of power. Definately with the right future mods this car could break 400 rwhp as well. IMO, the car feels like it was making about 335 to 345 rwhp and about 300 to 315 torque. Mark was saying that it hasn't been dynoed yet so we will see what a tune and dyno end up doing for that beast. W
Welcome to the FI Family Mark!! We look forward to seeing some more posts in the FI forums now that you have a little more "street cred" now that you can put "TT" in your sig.
