id say close to four hours but i took a few short breaks. also i jacked the car up and down multiple times for each draining to maximize the old fluid removal.

how fancy was your hand pump? The max gear has the squirt top on it do you think I could just use that to squirt it in the fill hole?

Is the transfer case drain and fill plugs the same as the front and rear diff?

I know the front and rear diff use Nissan 11026-4N200 gasket on the plugs. Wondering if the transfer case plugs use the same gasket.

Thanks for the write up.

i cant say for certain that they are all the same for the diffs and transfer case but they looked the same to me. if i had to buy some id get 3 of the same ones, the diff sized ones. i went to autozone to get some but the only sold them by size which i didnt have or a part number. ive heard u can get a pack of 10 for like ~9 dollars at a nissan dealer since they are the same part number, mind you the engine oil drain plug is entirely different. hope i made sense in short replace em if you want or they look worn, if you've reused them more than once i think you should. if ya havent, flip em and save some money.
p.s. measure the inside and outside diameter and post specs for others, thanks

Excellent post. Any chance you have pictures of the coolant change process? I am unable to locate the rear relief value on the heater hose even with the factory service manual which has a cheap drawing. Thanks!

well just finished doing this today, I got to the front diff and because of the corrosion the first time I put the hex key started to strip the fill hole so I said screw it and left it, I'll have the dealership deal with it this week. I did the transfer case and it went very smooth after I added a quart it started to pour out of the fill hole pretty good, so I left it at that and replaced the plug. for the rear diff I added a quart of Max Gear and then open a new one I pumped it a long time them a couple drips started coming out of the fill hole again so I left it at that and pretty much guessed if I put another pint in it or not. It was hard to guesstimate .2 of a pint for MAX ATF and it was a way more difficult to guess with the max gear bottle so I just kind of stopped when the second quart felt like it was half full. All in all this DIY was a great help it is very easy to do takes very little time, switching these fluids out was the highlight of my work day, seized exhaust bolts on the other hand.....
