Arrow Sunglass Holder/Plastic Rattles with sub

Have a 12" W6 subwoofer. Sunglasses visor and that whole dome light plastic area just rattles something vicious. Any tips on stopping the rattleing up there specifically? Thanks..

for the sunglass holder you can stuff some cloth in there. it will stop the rattles. you wont be able to use it to store anything else though.

I used a foam tape to line up the inside of the sunglasses holder. It works like a charm.

Can you take a picture of what you did? I'm having a hard time finding where to put the foam tape.

I have a W6 sub, it's a pretty powerful sub. I was doing this when I had my W3 and it worked fine, W6 will knock the sunglass thing open while driving with something stuffed in there.

if the rattle is coming from where the lid is meeting up to the console when it's closed then foam tape will help, the thin stuff you can buy to line the edges of speakers should do the trick & not be too thick to get in the way

If the rattle is something else loose inside the console that's a whole other kettle of fish

If I press up firmly on the sunglasses holder while the sub is going it subsides the rattle significantly....right now I rolled up a small shirt very snug and have it in there, problem is when I turn it up loud it pops open...
