Thanks everyone, took me a while to figure out how to get the dampening pin off, but after I figured that out it was easy breezy

thanks for the helpful DIY. the dampener pin was a bit of a pain, but i took the glove box off the rails 1st and then pinching the pin was easier.

it would have been nice not to have to remove so many dash parts to change the filters! i really hate taking so much apart since things never go back quite as snug as from the factory. especially that triangle side piece. it is not 100% snug now...

my old g35 was a breeze compared to the g37. and my wifes CRV takes ~3 minutes tops to change out...and it has 2 dash filters!

Thanks. It took me a while at first, but now I can probably do this all within 10-20 minutes.

Tested

The fan is under the filter and draws air down into it. I tested while the filter was out. So the flow indicator goes down toward the fan.

This procedure is not too bad but for the damper string and those clip nuts on the top four attachment points. You have to make sure they stay while putting the trim in place. I took them off and squeezed them.

I need some kind of mechanic's glasses. My eyes are too old.

How have you guys installed your replacement filters? Thanks a bunch, guys.
