^Funny fact: I visited TYC (manufacturer of that filter) overseas. Their headlight department is legit! Deals straight to Scion for aftermarket options!

Question

I installed a TYC charcoal filter this weekend, but I'm having some doubt as to whether I installed it properly. The instructions that came with the filter said that the arrow should be pointed DOWN, but I ran across this link that indicated the filter should be installed with the arrow pointed UP:
In Cabin Micro Filter Replacement Procedure Infiniti G35 / G37 Sedan

How have you guys installed your replacement filters? Thanks a bunch, guys.

If I remember right the arrow is pointing UP. In any case, go with the instructions for the specific car, not the filter.

Thanks. What is confusing me is that the instructions included with the filter are specifically for the Infiniti. Still very confusing. I may try to find a service manual for our cars, which might help.

i liked my old corolla, lol... just squeeze the sides of the glovebox and pull down. slide filter out, new one in... glovebox squeeze back in and you are done! 5 min

How difficult/easy is it to put everything back? Do I need any special tool to take out the side panel? Thanks!

Thanks! Finally did this. Super easy. Good write up. ^^Very easy to put back together and the side panel just snaps off. No tool needed.
