This is an ignorant question, but please humor me. can we spray these filters with some kind of fragrance so that the air that comes out will smell good, or would this damage the filter in some way?

haha. This is the site I'm getting my filters from.

Auto Parts Warehouse | Car Parts, Truck Parts & Auto Body Parts Online - Free Shipping on most Auto Accessories & Performance Parts – AutoPartsWarehouse

Simply type in the make/ model/ year/ etc of ur car on the top left. Scroll down to find heating and air conditioning. Click it and you should see ACC cabin air filter. I chose the NPN ACC cabin filter. It's a great price too! Carbon filter should be goin for only $19.95.

I haven't tried that to my filter. Personally, I don't think that would be a good idea. The good scent would probably fade after some time and it would probably start to smell pretty bad.

Where is the damper pin? I can't seem to find it. I took the glove box apart without removing the damper pin.

The damper pin should be attacted to glove box on the left hand side. Heres a picture. Make sure to reattach the damper when you reinstall the glove box.
