The flat sided bolt (it's called an eccentric bolt) is what is required to adjust the toe setting. Elongating the hole it goes through is what gives you a greater range of toe adjustment. If your car's not lowered a lot and you don't need it, great. But proper toe adjustment is as important if not more so than camber adjustment in aligning your car properly so as not to murder tires every couple of months.

 

Anyone have a SPC rear template they can scan and post up with some measurements? The used kit I purchased were missing the template.

Anyone know how much adjustment there is with the OEM toe bolts?

 

I installed my SPC rear camber arms myself and choose to wait on doing the toe bolts until after I got an alignment to see if it's really needed... (keep in mind I have lifetime alignment plan, so it doesn't matter how many times I go back to get it adjusted)... I asked the alignment guy if he thinks that I should bother installing the SPC toe bolts and he said "No, it's not necessary, I was able to get your toe into factory specs."

No problem, the toe bolts are still sitting in my desk somewhere.. never bothered to use them.

Anyone have offhand what the torque spec for the toe bolt is?

 

Just found a page in the factory manual pdf... looks like it is 72.5lbs (...at least I assume pounds). Does this sound correct?

 

Huh is that right? Guess Ima try this same method but how are they get the toe near spec with oem bolt? How low are you fellas I'm near 2 inch in rear.
