The car's real name is "INFINITI G37". At least that's what on my insurance card, registration, and door sill. I'd go out on a limb and say that the registration, insurance card, and door sill reads the same as well for all owners here.

in japan though the exact same car (minus all the infiniti and g37 badges) is a skyline. some people like the look. i know for acura's a lot of owners swap to honda badging and rename it with the japan counterparts. i guess its the same for all companies who have the same car named differently based on region. i wouldnt be surprised if skyline owners in japan swapped to g37 and infiniti badges. people just trying to be different.

Thanks for the DIY! I put in the Skyline badge today. I might just get rid of the G37s badge but not put the 370gt one on (because I don't like the font on either of them). Still thinking should I keep the Mt. Fuji logo though.

Anyone know if this is illegal? Because when a cop runs your plate the badges and model won't match in his system and could get him confused.

It does seem ricey, but this is that only way I can get a Skyline that I've always wanted (only if this was a GTR...) so I think I'm going to do it. lol
