just wanna say thanks to unv-it46! just did my debadge and it looks great! i followed the exact directions and it was a smooth operation. my only mistake was using regular paper towels to remove the adhesive stuff. now i have little swirly marks where the letters were .im sure i can find some polisher or something to make it look better....any suggestions?

heres a pic:

excuse the dirtyness...it just rained the other day . it was actually my first time driving in the rain and it handled perfectly!

I said I don't want any crap. I don't want to look like everyone else. Besides, my license plate would not make sense if I took off the G37S.

i would just debadge the g37s n keep the skyline, looks good

anyway my buddy debadged his black types and my buddys car no problem, so i got him to help me, same process, everything was good xcept i had SOOoooo much glue residude left over, i had to rub like a bitch, and my buddy insisted on using nails he said it would scratch the coat and it didnt for his car, so being the retard i am i was like ok fine

now its soooo ****ing scratched up, the infiniti emblem is now like a big white splotch

anyone know how much this will cost me to fix @ a shop?

^I wanted to keep the Mt Fuji. I am now thinking that I should replace the G37S w/ 370GT-S. We will see. But I definitely won't take off the Mt Fuji. Either way, no one can completely JDM there car. There is still the emblem on the steering wheel and it will still say infiniti all over.

Damn I can not believe you used nails on your car. You are retarded. I did, however use my acrylic fingernails. But they are not sharp at all. I just worked at it very slowly. My husband helped me to remove the glue too so it would take less time but I can't remember what he used.

What color is your car?

If you went through the clear coat then they will have to repaint the entire truck. You would prob be cheaper off to just buy a Mastergrade one and have it color matched. Then you would't have to deal with any more badges.

If it is just scratched on the clear coat then it can just be buffed out. Maybe you can use a rubbing compound. To get a scratch buffed out is pretty cheap though. Under $100. I would at least try a rubbing compound before you do anything unless you know for sure is went through the clear coat.

If it is just swirls then it shouldnt have hit the paint. Rubbing compound and polish should fix it.

But if is too deep, just go to a local and reputable paint or collision repair shop and they should be able to buff it out, no problem.

I wouldnt consider myself of ricer. I don't like cars that sound high pitch in hot neon colors.

Sorry for crappy camera phone pic:

Removed the "G37S". I can't understand why Infiniti thought it was a great idea to use 3 different fonts for lettering. What were they thinking?!

I am seriously contemplating buying the "SKYLINE" and "370GT" badging. I'd have to take off the Mt Fuji and the 'INFINITI' lettering since it won't be right to mix and match Infiniti and Nissan badging. Guess once spring rolls on in I'll have a better idea if I will go through it or not.

I used goo gone. followed the OP's dircetions tep by step. Worked like a charm. The glue was a pain to get it all off, but it came off completely eventually and looks 100x better. (I just got rid of INFINITI) kept the logo and g37x

+1 for goo gone.

1. pour a little on top of the letters and let them soak. wipe off excess.
2. use fishing line in a slow pulling motion behind the letters.
3. use paper towel with goo gone to soak letters and carefully peel off.
4. clean trunk off really well.

Thanks for the tip, I removed all the badges from 2008 journey this morning, it took 35 minutes. Really looks great.
