Remove "Amazing GOOP Adhesive"

Hello all!

So I took the "INFINITI" and "G37" letters off the trunk lid couple months ago and glued them back with Amazing GOOP (Please don't ask me why, but I was not de-badging my car at the time ). Now I want to de-badge but cannot remove the letters with dental floss because the GOOP is really hard if not impossible to come off. Does anyone know how to remove the GOOP without having to mess up the paint?

Thank you!

Well This doesn't sound good.

Even if you remove the letters, removing the goop will be the tricky part as it may remove the paint too.

You can always heat up the letters with a hair dryer or heat gun on LOW. Then use dental floss.

You can try to remove the goop with goo gone however this in someways can remove paint if you use too much.

If I were you I would just leave as is and accept it as permanent.

Sounds like you need to take to to a body shop and be prepared to have to respray the trunk lid after removal.
