Black G37 Coupe Detailing difficulty: High detail pictures included.
On second thought if you want to try wet sanding go 3000 grit first and see how that goes. 5000 grit is too fine and likely won't do much at all. The higher the grit the better as it will remove less of your clear coat and 3000 grit is not aggressive at all. I recommend going to auto geek dot net and buying a kit there. They have everything you could imagine for detailing products. I buy all my supplies and equipment from them.
1. Wet sand with 3000 grit
2. If that doesn't work then try 2000 grit
3. If that doesn't work try 1500 grit, take your time.
4. After you've removed the spots app;y a compound like Wolfgang Uber Compound 3.0 which is an awesome diminishing compound
5. Then polish the car with a high quality polish (anything from Pinnacle, Chemical Guys, Wolfgang, Blackfire, Menzerna, etc will produce excellent results
6. Finish with a sealant or carnuba wax (pinnacle Souveran, Wolfgang Fusion, Blackfire Fire Over Ice, P21S 100% Carnuba) are all excellent choices.
You can go further than this if you'd like, but this will be a solid 20 hours of work to get your car perfect. Detailing takes time. I hope you find this info helpful.

Thankyou so much for taking your time and writing very clearly
does Wolfgang Uber Compound 3.0 leaves white dust like meg's 105 ? that and i hate how fast 105 dries out. can you guide me towards your trusty polisher and sealant ? I have Mothers 10016 Reflections Car Wax which is pretty easy to apply and does its job.
besides that, should I keep using yellow/orange pad for compound/polish or should I go for wool pads. I never used wool pads before and I have pc da polisher.
thanks!!

Use your orange pad for compounding. Wolfgang 3.0 is easy to work with and doesn't leave much white dust, but does leave some, most compounds do. Use white pad for polishing. I'd recommend Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion followed by Pinnacle Souveran as it is the best looking wax for black cars. Take your time with the polishing, make it look perfect then use Souveran. 2 coats would be ideal. Wait a few hours between coats. I would recommend Pinnacle Crystal Mist Detailer to keep the shine up.
On a black car you will love this combo.

I don't believe There is going to be much difference between the Wolfgang and the Meguairs. Seeing how you still have do an additional glaze on the Wolfgang. I think your problem is more or less is the Porter Cable capable of the correction that you are doing which is why I think a wool pad would do a better job than any compound with a orange foam pad.
The paintwork cleanse Is not needed if you do a good job on the polishing as the cleanse has fillers.
I wanted to go with the Klasse paint sealant and Pinnacle Souverian Wax but thought that was a ridiculous price for wax so I did the Klasse sealant and put meguairs wax over it and it's the bomb. Shine comes from polish not wax.

John B have you ever used Souveran on a black vehicle? Souveran does add depth, shimmer and additional gloss beyond what polishing will produce. Meg's doesn't have a product that comes close to it IMO. It's very expensive, but a jar will last you years.

okay so last week I ordered 3m assorted sanding papers, ordered two kits, had 1000,1500,2000 and 2500 grit sanding papers. I wanted to try on my roof first to see how it is, I also watched a couple of detailed videos on how-to wet sand and stuff.
SO took a deep breath and started with 1500 grit followed by 2500 on roof of passenger side. I was able to clean off acid rain \ whatever the hell marks upto 95% which put a smile on my face. I worked on 1 square feet area on the rear roof of passenger side and it took 2 hrs to wetsand and buff.
I used microfiber cutting pad with 105 and followed with orange foam pad with 205.
i came back home and ordered a sanding pad for better ease which came yesterday and today i did my whole roof.
One thing i did wrong this time was, I thought may be I and removing too much by going 1500 grit first, so i used 2000 and 2500 grit and could not get the same amount to cleanliness, around 80% clean but its the roof, I dont want to cut more by going back again with 1500-2500 cycle since I am working blindly without any thickness gauging device.
I am liking to learn this new skill, upcoming weekend I will try to clean my trunk and week after my holy grail hood
I plan to go 1500-2500 grit on both surfaces.
Right now my roof has 2 applications of Liquid glass lg-100, its my first time trying this, I hope it looks good tomorrow morning!
excited!
