My new G37

I just bought a 2012 Moonlight White G37 w Nav package. Love it so far. I live at the beach and and want to make sure that I do all that I can to make sure that it stays in the best condition. I dont have a electric polisher, and to be honest I am a little scared of one. Afraid I will screw up. Although I have a boat and now 3 cars that could use some love. I was wondering what basic recommendations some of you experts may have. Dont want a complicated care plan like I see some on here. All seems too confusing to me. If you have some basic recommendations I would appreciate it. Would like to get a group of basic supplies of good quaility products that I could also use on my other vehicles. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum! There's a lot of good detailing information in the Care Care & Detailing section. As there are many different products and methods, you should read up on the topic and decide for yourself. It depends how much time and money you're willing to spend.

This is a good place to start:

For me personally, I dont have any much time washing and detailing my car anymore. So I'm using Zaino sealants, which lasts a long time before needing a reapplication.

you really cant get a good polish without a power buffer - porter cable etc. however with our moonlite white cars its very hard to see swirl marks even while the car is in the sun anyway. for general washing i use optimum no rinse for washing waffle weev micro fiber towel to dry. for protection i have had great results with poor boy's exp sealant followed up the day after and month by month with poor boys spray wax. for wiping off everything use a micro fiber towel.

I would also use the 2 bucket method of washing your car with grit guards. I would also use an electric leaf blower to blow the majority of water off the car before final drying. Before drying spritz some quality detail spray on the surface and then gently wipe with a quality micro fiber or waffle weave towel. Proper washing and drying techniques greatly reduces the chance of putting scratches and swirls in your paint
