NEW Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction System has revolutionized detailing!

BRAND NEW Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction System has revolutionized detailing!
This unique system is using brand new technology with a microfiber buffing pad and new polishes specifically built to optimize the new kind of microfiber pads when used with a DA Buffer (Dual Action i.e. Porter Cable 7424XP Random Orbital Buffer) . The results are nothing short of stunning! Meguiar's even states in their ad..."Revolutionizing paint defect removal and surface finishing with No Swirls..GUARANTEED"!
Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound
The Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound combined with the Meguiar's DA Microfiber Cutting Disc Buffing Pad can remove moderate to heavy swirls in ONE STEP with a Porter Cable 7424XP Random Orbital Buffer. Check out the before and after pictures of this 1992 Red Ferrari 512 TR.

Meguiar's DA Microfiber Finishing Wax
Meguiar's DA Microfiber Finishing Wax can be used after the Correction Compound to further polish and protect the paint. The Finishing Wax is actually more of an AIO product because it contains both a polish and a wax in one bottle. Use this step after the Correction Compound or use it by itself for a one step process. It can noticeably remove swirls while leaving a coating of protection behind. For best results make sure you are using it with the new Meguiar's DA Microfiber Finishing Disc Buffing Pad.

Very interested to see your take once you use it George. I'm always interested in new stuff, but I also always appreciate your relatively open candor on the various products you sell. REALLY interested in hearing about the special technique required, and how it varies from standard.

Im curious to a comparison to the M105 / M205 combo. I personally love the M105/205 and think they are great polishes. And personally, I prefer sealants over waxes due to their longevity......
Todd stated the M105 has a little more cut and that if the paint needs a 2 step process, to use the DA and M205.
And Greg's review suggests the same. My arsenal has been the M105/205/PO85RD just like Gregs.
Ivan's review suggests that they are pretty similar, but the DA doesnt dust as much and has a longer working time.
So it sounds like the DA is for a quick 1 step refinish but it doesnt have quite the range that the M105/205 combo would have...... which is to be expected comparing a 1 step system to a 2 step system.
Still looks like a good 1 step system for someone just entering the detailing world who likes a wax finish. ........ but since I have a full bottle of M205 and a 3/4 full bottle of M105 and a 3/4 full bottle of PO85RD and a half bottle of Power finish to go through, I wont be a guinea pig for the board on this combo.
Maybe someone who is running on empty with their polishes who likes a wax finish would give this a try. Im curious to how long the wax final step lasts.
Now if Megs made the final step a sealant which would last 6 months....... that might be another story.

Can you compare and contrast the Porter Cable 7424XP with other units like the Meguiars Dual Action 6 Inch Polisher G110v2 ?
Thanks for any thoughts. I am toying with the idea of trying to get the finish on my black 08 coupe back to showroom standards. Wondering if this is practical for a first-time DIYer or if I should just take it somewhere.

A lot of the DIY videos on the DI site are great reference tools and should help answer a lot of questions.
I cant compare the 2 polishers, but I can tell you that depending on the amount of scratches and correction, if its just mild swirl marks and the small scratch here and there, that its very practical for the first time DIYer to get it done.

I don't think it's too ambitious for a first time detailer. Many people are getting great results on their first attempt with this buffer. It's very safe and easy to use and you can feel very comfortable with the unit. The new Megs products are also pretty user friendly, so with just a little bit of knowledge you can get great results. Please don't forget to check out the 4 articles referenced above for more info and a video demo.
I'd also highly recommend checking out the 5" and 6" package deal we created which is an outstanding value:
DI Packages Porter Cable 7424XP & Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Starter Kit 5" Free Bonus
DI Packages Porter Cable 7424XP & Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Starter Kit 6" Free Bonus
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!
