Scratch Shield

Do you guys think the scratch shield clear coat works?

It's winter here and it's hard to keep the G cleaned but when I do get to wash it the car has some swirls and I feel I see more with every wash. Do you think in the summer when the temperature get warmer the swirls will disappear?

Let me know what your experiences are with this scratch shield clear coat.

Well, the results aren't really clear, cuz some ppl say it works (like me) while others claim it's just a gimmick.

However, the bigger issue is, why are you getting swirls from just washing? My car is 14 months old, never had a swirl, ever. That shouldn't happen when done properly. First, don't go to a regular carwash, and never let anyone wash your car, even/especially at the dealership. That basically destroys your car. Hand wash the car yourself, and use microfibre towels. There are lots of threads on here about detailing and car wash care.

I only wash the car but I think the salt is making it swirl and the fact that it's so cold I can't wash it as much as I like.

Well it could be the salt.... considering its so bad for your car.... here in Texas we dont have to worry bout snow and all that But the scratch shield defiantly didn't work for me..... idk maybe its the color of the car that might make it vary....

Try some of this stuff. It might help. Idk if your using this or not.
