Did I screw up?? :(

So I decided to do a spring detail this weekend to get rid of all the swirl marks and contamination from this winter. I whipped out the portercable 7424 and went to work.

After a little bit i noticed that my orange pad had some red tint to it ( my car is red). I didnt think anything of it and i figured it was just from the polish.

Then i switched polish and moved on to a white pad and i i noticed the same thing, a red tint.

I thought it was Extremely hard to screw up using a PC 7424. I didnt apply too much pressure and I "thought" i did everything correct.

Did i strip off the clear coat? I started to feel my paint surface and it feels smooth.

i doubt it. Clearcoat is clear, wouldnt have a red tint. i dont think you sanded through the clearcoat, unless you used sandpaper pad =x

Has you car ever been repainted? Unlikely that you could polish all the way through your clear with a PC. Photos of the area on your car where the red came from would help. Is it still shiny or dull?

Some clears are tinted the color of the base, but not aware if yours is or not.

Are you using the turtle wax red polish, or has anyone ever used that on your car? That would make the pad turn red very fast even if it was used awhile ago.
