*UPDATED PICS*Wow, I have the worst luck...George or anyone else help!
Well, you guys already know about my swirl hell from the dealership, and today I found this bad boy. I took these pics after using a touch of scratchX by hand...which obviously does very little.
I am not sure about if it was keyed, scratched by accident, or caused from the dealership. I talked to the service manager today and he said he would have one of their detail guys buff out my car...which I obviously don't want. I was trying to explain to him over the phone I didn't think this scratch would come out...but maybe it can. Either way I want to do it my self. Before I do that, do you guys think I should try to have my service manger let someone from the Body Shop look at it, and not some kid? Take a look guys. George, do you think I could use the PC I ordered to get this out? Will PO106FF work? Will I need a different pad then white? Maybe an Orange...or Yellow?

I have scratchx, but I used it by hand. My Porter Cable from George arrives Monday. I can feel it with my nail, but it doesn't go to the paint, but it definitely went into the coat.

You may need a more aggressive polish than the PO106FF to get the job done, but it looks pretty faint. At a minimum, you'll be able to minimize it to the point where it won't bother you. If you need a more aggressive polish, something like Intensive Polish or Power Gloss would work well with an orange or yellow pad, then follow up w/ the PO106FF. With the PC, since it's a safe machine, you may need multiple applications of the compound to get the results you're looking for. Take your time and apply some good pressure and you'll be pretty pleased with the results. Be sure to end w/ the PO106FF for maximum depth and gloss.
If the compound doesn't do the trick, you can try a light wet sand.

George, you got any advice for me dealing with a freshly painted panel? I am guessing I should give it a good 90 day's to cure before I seal and wax it? I still need to take care of the rest of my car, as far as the swirls, will it be stupid to clay, polish, glaze, seal, and wax the rest leaving out the fresh panel?

scratchx will fill in that scratch temporarily. scratchx does not trully remove the scratch. it has fillers that "fill" the scratch in. overtime, it will appear again. your best bet is to use a compound via buffer then follow it by a polish, then seal/wax it.
Well, I can't believe it. I found more damage today on the same damn side panel that went to the metal. Looks like someone in the work parking lot dropped something on it, something hard. I am just getting the whole panel repainted. Sucks....
