LCD Screen Care
LCD Screen Care
Anyone know what to use to clean the LCD screen? Your help is appreciated. Also, I don't have NAV...so was interested if there is any type of protective film to place over the screen.
thats something i forgot to ask the dealer before they took everything off. i shoulda asked them to keep that piece of film over the screen to protect it but i forgot. im like u im waiting to see how ppl cleaned the screen
I typically recommend Plexus for LCD screens, gauges, NAV screens and other clear plastic surfaces. The best feature about this product is the anti-static properties so it helps minimize dust build up, keeping your screens looking cleaner, longer. I personally use this product on my laptop screen and TVs around the house as well. Apply by spraying a quick burst on to a microfiber towel and gently glide the product over the surface. Take another clean microfiber towel and buff until there are no remains of the product. You want to avoid applying too much pressure on these sensitive areas.

clean it the same way you would any other LCD. there are many solutions you can make yourself with water/vinegar. some folks use commercially available monitor wipes, etc. The stores are filled with these kinds of products.

Checked out the Plexus site...says it's good for chrome wheels too. Does that mean its good to use for any chrome parts of the car. My wife has a Lexus ES350 and I always wondered the best cleaning solution for the chrome handles and window trim. If any of you can confirm...I guess I can use Plexus on the Lexus!! Sorry for the noob questions
. All I've ever used was armor all and windex....but I'm seeing that armor all is a no no. Not to mention, I'm not liking that wet and glossy look.

Damp paper towel followed by dry paper towel for drying. I've always used this combo for my PC monitors and I'll continue for the G's LCD. Theres really no reason to use any special product in my experience.

I personally would NEVER use paper towel on any of my LCD screens. The only thing I would use is an MF cloth.
