How to get rid of Minor swirlies?
How to get rid of Minor swirlies?
There are a few around the vehicle that i'd like to get out. Do i just use a proper sealant? I have a blue slate car, which would you suggest is the most durable sealant out there?

Sealants are merely for protection and will not remove ANY swirls, minor scratches, or marring. You'll need a polish if you want to remove your swirl marks. The best way to remove them is by a machine like a Porter Cable. Some people try and remove them by hand using a product like Meg's ScratchX.
As for a good sealant, Poorboys EX-P, Zaino Z2/Z5, and Menzerna's FMJ are all great sealants.

Ok, if i don't use Meg's ScratchX, and I use a porter cable, which polish would you recommend? And I'd do that before the sealant when i wash my car ya? (Sorry, new to this detailing stuff!) Also, is there a way you can "overuse" the polish and ruin the clear coat paint?

The detailing steps should be in this order.
1. Wash/dry your car
2. Claybar the paint to remove surface contamination (recommended)
3. Polish with Porter Cable
4. Apply sealant for protection
5. Apply Carnuba wax for added depth and gloss (optional)
