from what ive read....no. they have used this technology for a while now on ships. But ships are in water and apparently as a result work better (due to electrical conductivity or something-im not an electrician) What ive read is that Because cars are grounded by the tires, the whole conductivity/protection thing is less efficient, hence it does not work very well...

No, most of these dealer added services are just ways for them to rip people off and make more money. Or atleast thats what I have heard.
