Winter beaters

what's a good winterbeater that is under 4000gs canadian? i don't really want to drive the g in the winter.. i'm looking for an awd suv or car..
preferably a 4 banger.. to save on gas.. what car you drive in the winter?
i checked out autotrader.ca but i don't know which is a reliable car to look at.. what winter car yous drive in the winter?

I drive my G.. I bought the car to drive.. not keep under glass. Just my thoughts...

Get an old outback. My friend's outback totally kick *** in the winter.

Isn't 4000gs equivalent to 4000000 (1g = 1000)? LOL, I get what you mean though.

But for under $4k, it will be hard to find one that won't die on you.

I'm gonna be babying my G for the winter, too. I'll still drive it, just not during or after a snowstorm. Maybe next winter I'll let her brave the winter with me.

i'm picking up a winter car .. maybe when the gs on it's 2nd+ winter..
i'll use it.. but for now.. no way.. i'm looking at a cheap subie right now though.. thanks for the recommendation..
