How Important was Nav to your purchase?
Sure people like to say they use their phones. But if you don't have a data plan or a roaming plan as I do. When I travel in the states (from canada) using a phone is not even an option; roaming charges will kill me.
I agree that cars with navigation have a better resale value, but the 335 with navigation is a more significant upgrade than the G37. The non-nav G37 still has the LCD while the 335 has a standard radio in the non-nav trim. Also, 335's w/nav are pretty difficult to come by. This would help explain the large gap in price between the 335 trims.
I was on the fence myself on this. I ended up getting mine with the nav because I got a good deal. This was the first time I've gotten nav on a car and I must say, I do not regret spending the additional money. It's going to be hard to not get nav now with future car purchases. Don't pass up on a good deal on this car just because it doesn't come with nav though.
If you look back, there are many luxury items that used to cost extra that are now appearing as standard equipment in most new cars, e.g., radio, heater, power windows, cruise control and keyless ignition. I predict that in a few years navigation will be one of those items, certainly in upscale cars similar to Infinitis. More and more, this will be a resale factor.
Thanks guys. The car I found is a CPO 10 G37S. It has everything I want except the nav. It's also amazing clean with low miles and an extended warranty. The best I've seen so far. It may be the one.
