Lease G37 VS CTS coupe
Hi everyone, I'm recently considering lease a G37 or CTS coupe.
I am new to this forum and to this country, so if there is any grammar misuse or nonsense English, please forgive.
I want a 39 months 15k/yr lease, so any long term reliability or maintenance is non considered. Also I usually don't do sporty driving, so performance is not that important to me either.
I'm comparing the G37X(sport premium and nav package) to the CTS coupe premium.I got the CTS's price and the G37 residual value and rates but not the price yet, I'll talk to the dealer tomorrow . Here is the list
G37X sport, nav, premium package white
MSRP: 47,550
Selling Price: 43,106 Edmund's TMV
Down Payment: 3,685 include first payment
Residual: 62% $29,481
Money Factor: 0.000625
Interest Rate: 1.5%
Monthly Payments: 295
Tax will be paid up-front, because I live in Illinois, we pay tax on full price(suck)
So, the G37 I total pay 18,310 (although consider the shortage of sport and white combo, I'm not sure I can get the TMV price)
The CTS premium white MSRP 50,780, I got 470/month + 7,800(tax first
payment include)=25,660 Because of the low residual value, only 51%
That is $7,350 different.
Since the CTS use regular gas and 4yr/50,000 miles free mantenance, for 48,750 miles I save $487 on gas, and $723 on maintenance, there are 3,000 msrp different which I use 40% of it, that's $1,200. And tax different base on the MSRP is $240.
That's all I can think of, witch cut the different to $4,695
I really like both cars, but the CTS Remote Start, ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, biger rear room, cool style and door opening feature are very attracting to me.
For my situation and preference would you recommend me to go get the G37
wait for Caddy's incentive or just go ahead get the CTS?
Any input would helpful and really appreciated. Thank you guys.
P.S. I found out a bug. Usually you can only ripoff music from a copyrighted CD to your car's hard drive, right? But with CTS I did with Ipod shuffle 2Nd generation on a deck, I'm not sure the 3rd or 4th Gen, but you defiantly couldn't do it with Iphone or Ipod nano.you can try it with your G37.

i would recommend going to a different caddy dealership........i think these guys are ripping you off BIG time........almost $8k total out of pocket? thats a JOKE......never ever pay more than $3k
the numbers you got on the G are really good.
In terms of making a decision based on the car itself....its a tough call...i personally like both cars....and I was strongly considering the CTS Coupe...but you get more for your money with the G

Just got the selling price to 44,080 with the dealer over the phone, and he said could be little less but not much when go there and pick it up. Is it a good deal?
again,2011 G37X sport nav premium white 39months 15k/yr MSRP 47,550 selling for 44,080 interest 1.5% residual value 29,481,
At 3,600 out of pocket and 325/mo without tax.

You might want to consider the 24 month lease on the CTS coupe as it is at 65% residual or even better get a loaded Performance CTS coupe with 67% for 24 months. I do these leases every day, granted in New jersey, and I can do a 24 month for $550 with only $2995 due. The performance and premium can be ordered with the same equipment. Just food for thought.

Therefor I think a longer term would save more money. But thanks for note.
By the way my dealer told me 24 mouth premium residual is 63% and loaded performance is 65%.
Where did you get your numbers? Ally?
Also if you can get me the residual on loaded performance with 39mo/15k?
Thank you very muchhh!

Get the car you like. People here will be G bias. I like the CTS coupe, but the reality is most American cars do NOT lease well. That's why you see the need to put that cash down.
FYI the owner loyalty DOES apply to leases.

the residual for an AWD performance for 39 months with 15,000 miles is 52% and the financial source is GM Financial which is different than ALLY or US Bank. GM Financial has the best rates right now. They also pay your first payment which most dealers hold onto and increase profit. I am fortunate to have both cars and they both have their pros and cons. The biggest pro is my G is a vert. After that it is just a matter of taste. You cant ignor free scheduled maint and service for 4 years/ 50,000 miles and I must say that the CTS does rate higher in relaibility. In the end it is your car and your decision to make. Enjoy!
