2nd attempt need advice

***here we go this is the last update for now***

2008 G37S MT6

Kelley Blue Book $36,355

Internet Price $34,897

19,214 miles
Navigation package, Sports package, Premium package
CARFAX 1 owner
CARFAX clears it says it was a Lease Vech for 2 years.
Sold at auction to this dealership.

Got the guy down to $31,774 + fees. I offered him that price with fees included, he said he "could not do that" and then said OTD price: 32,800
so thats the current offer he made. I am going to check the Vech out this saturday. What do?

He should have counter offered, but realistically if you think you are going to steal a car from somebody by lowballing...it's not going to be a dealer.

Honestly if I was in the 32K range. I'd check out a new Genesis Coupe over a used car...but that's just me.

The Hyundai looks like the G37...it's not ugly at all.

But I'm always leery of cars from Auction. It means the dealer who took it back didn't want it on their lot....usually a reason for that. See if you can get the VIN and see if a tech here will look it up. On my BMW forum a few guys wouldn't post it online but if you asked...they'd look up the car and tell you "if they'd buy it."

I agree on the looks.

Well have them include the certified pre-owned warranty and it won't matter too much. I just always think about why the dealer it came from decided it wasn't good enough to keep...I guess it could have been leased outside the company which would make more sense. But get the VIN and ask on the forums if any techs are active...maybe a PM and they can look up the history.
