Deal? New 2008 G37 Coupe Below Invoice

New 2008 G37 Journey Coupe
AUTO/PREM/SPORT/misc other minor options

Sticker - $42,210
Invoice - $38,488
Offer - $36,888

Offer is $1,600 below invoice. Dealer won't go any lower. This dealer has been very professional, always responded to my questions, no games, no pressure. If there are dealer marketing incentives of $2,500 then I'm trying to get the price a little lower.

About have one other offer $2,000 below invoice but it's not the interior color/option combination I prefer and is a 12 hour drive away vs a few hours with the first dealer.

I've been shopping on and off for the past 3 months. These are both about the best offers I've recieved. I've contacted about 15 dealers across the country.

EDIT - Financing is through my credit union - 2% on a secured auto loan.

Deal or no deal -- thoughts on the deal considering this is a 2008??

Is this with the 0.9% financing. If it is, looks like a good deal.

Yeah, thats a little more than I got my Journey Premium for, and with the Sport package that looks to be a pretty solid deal. I'd say screw that extra $400 you'd save and get the color options you want.

Why don't you take their 0.9% financing? Have you told them you financing on your own? If you go with their financing you might be able to squeeze em a bit more - but as-is it's still a good deal

It's a very good deal but dealing with the fact on how the car is 1 year old the you might be able to talk them down a little more. Also, like other people said take advange of the 0.9% or 0% depending on how long you plan on making payments for through IFS

I checked with the dealer. The 0% or 0.9% financing is NOT available at the price quoted. I did tell the dealer in the beginning I would be using my own financing unless he had a better deal but I wanted the best price. The dealer indicated the price would increase if the Infiniti financing was used.

With other dealers when I started with the 0% financing, the price was higher and when I said I would finance on my own, the price lowered. I haven't been able to get a below invoice price with 0% financing.

The deal is where is stands. I'm still thinking about it.

I'm debating because in less than 9 months the car will be 2 years old when the 2010s are released in the fall.

That's B.S., they should have been clear that it would be MORE with their financing, sounds like they're trying to pull a fast one on you. I'd tell them you want financing and that price or walk away..
