They don't finance that is the only reason they want money down

I also noticed the MUST BE FINANCED under additional features.

Ok...
the selling price should be the selling price regardless of,if the vehicle will be financed or not.And the line that says must be financed sounds highly illegal to me....

they've always posted these ads on craigslist.... i wouldn't be looking for my next car on craiglist but that is how they want to advertise. The price doesn't reflect the $3k down
