Good or bad Deal?
Highmike, journey with sports and premium is 37480 invoice, what the heck dealerships in Phx have you discovered quoting invoice prices with zero negotiation??? I'm from Phx and fought for 10 days to get them to come to about 250 over invoice on a journey with premium, and nav. Where was this hassle free quote at for me 2 weeks ago??
carbuying tips says 90% of the time there is disatisfication... dealers add fees, paint is chipped, different vin number

I call BS on HighMike's crazy quotes he says he is getting.
If they are just verbal quotes, then that carries a lot less weight..maybe they are just giving you super low quotes to bring you in. Seen that happen a lot. Unless it's down in writing, don't trust it!
I agree with AZg37...I checked the Phoenix area about 2 weeks ago also. None would even go down to invoice price on the vehicle I was looking for. CA was a different matter and I got a few quotes for invoice.

You guys pay what you want, I dont care. Learn how to speak to a dealer and you'll get better quotes.
Snobsdale, as we call it here in AZ, was way less willing to go down in price. Peoria actually went to 250 above invoice for us. It all worked out well in the end IMO. I'm gonna have to take you with me on my next car purchase and learn some tips from you highmike
Verify your dealers invoice price with true invoice (not just the base vehicle but packages as well). Despite this being infiniti (supposedly "above" inflating invoice) I have ran into two chicago dealers that inflate.

Now granted, this was two weeks ago, so things may have changed, but back then this was 100% not true. Now maybe they are coming down on their price because a lot of their potential business went elsewhere (like mine) and now they need to get rid of their inventory.
Plus, your rationale for getting a better price is simplistic at best. If going by your rationale, I should have gotten a better deal at Scottsdale than where I ended up going because they have more inventory since my skill at negotiation unlikely changed within the few days of talking to them and talking to the other place I ended up getting a lower price quote from. There are many more factors involved than what you simply state. And it seems like a lot of what you are saying is just regurgitating what simple car buying guides state.
Honestly as the days go on it seems more and more like you are just trolling. I think I'll stop feeding you now. Good luck with your car hunt.

I checked Scottsdale. They were very nice people in general, but their price was NOT competitive at all. In fact, it was almost the highest out of all the dealers I checked in two states (AZ, CA). They didn't really seem willing to beat any prices I found at other dealers too. This, I surmise, is why they have the surplus that they do when compared to other dealers, not the other way around.

You should be paying invoice or 500 below depending on the car.
What deal did you get else where?
