I want to lease a typical G35 sedan, or even a G37. the dealer tells me the following :

$1300 down (bank fee, tag , title, 1st months payment), then $445 + tax = $476 month
24 months, 15k / year
2008 G35 journey with premium only,MSRP $35,000
selling price $33,000

this seems too high, i see people on here leasing G37's for this much and they have NAV, etc =$36000 selling cost or even higher, WTF ?????

 

Most of us who are paying that much are at a 39 month lease term...And we have either put money down in MSD's (which I suggest) or have some type of cash down in front...You are only paying inceptions at signing on a 24 month lease which is what kills your monthly payment...

 

I just ran your round numbers through my lease calculating spreadsheet for the G35J and it's spot on. It appears you're getting a good deal.

I too was considering a G35J, but am now looking at the G37.

Why?

The residuals on the G37S were much higher in March making it a very attractive deal to get a fully loaded G37S for far less than a G35J. The residuals dropped a few % points in April, but since this month is about closed out, it will be interesting to see what direction the residuals head.

Since I'm not in the market to change until Aug, I am also curious if the 09's will be out, what their residuals will be and what impact the coming 09's will have on the residuals for the 08's.
