Nice job Coupe-Daddy. I've never heard of a dealership offering to ORDER one for invoice; only existing or incoming stock.
Gigga, if you're considering one 1000 miles away, I wouldn't accept anything but invoice for car and invoice price for options (based on my own recent search). Check Edmunds.com and don't let them add more than one or two hundred bucks in fees. Just be up front and say or write that you're looking nationwide and want invoice price for out the door on existing or incoming stock. CA and NY might be selling inventory with no problem, so dealers there may have buyers willing to pay more.
If you want the car too badly, they'll smell it
It might help to let them know that you're looking to buy within the next month or two. That would indicate that you're serious, but not desperate. I'm not experienced at this, but just stating what worked for me.
From my search, there were plenty of dealers happy to unload their stock under the above terms. You get a bargain on a car that is already a great value in bang for the buck and they move stagnant inventory (and still profit). December should be a good month for buyers.
When dealing online or by phone, don't forget to ask about mileage!

i tried to "lie" to the dealership in ohio that someone in texas was selling their g37 for 450 above invoice and they would not email me back. This is the one priced comes out to 37530. i hope they lower it by a couple of hundreds. the airplane ticket is like 150 plus around 200 for gas. so, like 350 for getting it back here to baton rouge.
i've email like 2 dealerships in houston that has the color and options that i wanted, they havent answer back. i went and check at clear lake infiniti website and saw a vibrant red 6mt but with other options i do not want. the dealership in dallas is offering me 37500 for only premium package, spoiler, and splash guards. i think that is a little too much.
you going to watch the lsu vs ohio state game? i heard its 900 for a ticket, i wanted to go but 900 is like a monthly car payment so i opted out. my uncle and his friends is going. i still think lsu is overrated and has no defense.

Dealer replied btw..it's a little over invoice but not by too much..i know salesmen need to eat too.

Oh..two questions...since I'm in Maine, do I pay MA tax or ME tax?

And do i put a deposit down?
