It all worked out fine, thanks for asking. It seems to depend on who you talk to there. At any rate, I have my car. Hooray!

Congrats! I was sure it would. I haven't read of anybody having insurmountable problems at the registration phase. I am more interested in how you handled the DRL situation.

I ended up having my DRL's 'installed' by the dealer (just picked it up this past friday). I haven't spent too much time under the hood yet, but I'll see if i can take some pics of the IPDM/fusebox area to see if the mod was as straight forward as I thought it should be..

Anyone know if the units of measure on the G37 for speed, mileage, etc. can be switched back-and-forth between miles / kilometers, etc.? I'm talking about everywhere including gauge cluster, nav screen, cruise control settings, etc.

^ When I played with a US-spec G35 sedan at the Detroit Autoshow ... there was no ability to toggle between km/h and MPH, at least on the NAVI. I think it was able to calculate fuel economy in metric (x.x L / 100km). The speedo is fixed ... so MPH on the outside (big font) on the outside, km/h on the inside (small font). So you'll have to get accustomed to that change.

I used to do cross-country ... so I know that 1 mile = 1760 yards = 1.6km (approx). 62mph = 100km/h (that's why MB or BMW post 0-62 times in US car mags); 55mph = 88 km/h (from trips to Disney) 30mph = 50km/h ... etc.

Hope that helps. Maybe someone with a G37 navi can confirm / update my info. I didn't play with the navi too much.

Dont have Navi, but everything else sounds correct.
I wished the LCD between the tach/speedometer would have atleast had a mode where it could display a digital readout of your current speed. Instead, having it display your fuel economy is redundant as it already can be displayed on the main 7" lcd..

Thanks. If there is no user adjustment, then my guess is that they run a Canadian firmware flash. They must have a different version for each country. That's probably how they get different languages as well, like for JDM.
