Cool info to know, I believe it has to do with manufacturing costs and what not. Not only does the Q50 box is 2 inches bigger than the G37 one it flows better, not only it flows better the filter it uses interchanges with others.

This is Ideal info to have then filters average $100-$120. Filters for sentras, Nv200 and Cubes go for a lot less. I scored this set of cheap ones to test. I found that the silicone flange of the filters has a lip that needs trimming and that is all it takes.

All in theory looks promising. The mod I already have confirms that the factory boxes benefit from bigger intakes to them. I believe finding a way to properly seal them will yield better results. I decided to ditch the G37 boxes due to the bulky and weird design. After seeing Q50s on stock boxes give great numbers I moved over to the Q50box. I found a set that was missing a front cover so on the hunt I am for the front one.

In the mean time enjoy some of the progress. The boxes will be fully sealed, being fed by a 3.8 in tubes going to the front

So the Q50s boxes progress is dead. Unfortunately on the passengers side both reservoirs get in the way for me to fit a proper "sealed" design that will outflow the stock box. Looks like modified OEM boxes will be the route.

Here's an update from the dead:

Added Z suspension, this was to replace the blown fronts I've had since I bought the car. I went with camber and rear toe bolts for more angles at the rack since my toe was maxed.

Here it is with the Z suspension

And with just the front Z

On another note, It looks like 4WAS strikes again in differences. I bought a toe bolt kit for 370z/G37 only to find out they're a bit short. I left one of the shims out for now to get enough clamp however I'll have to contact SPC to determine how to move forward. Will need a longer bolt

On another note, here is what a 4WAS rack looks like:

Z suspension looks perfect on the G! Is this regular base model strut/shocks/springs or did you go for sport/Nismo?

Its Base model suspension.

In my opinion the Rear looks amazing but then the front looks too high. I suspect Nismo Front springs and Base rear springs would give that badass drop and level it at the same time.

Much time has passed. Hit and run, put the car back together. AC was down for a few months waiting on a line. Made more progress on the Q50 intakes and best box I've came up seems to work, looks ghetto however based off butt dyno and some runs vs other cars I have to say the feel faster than with Drop filters in OEM boxes.

Got the car aligned and to 0 toe as the main priority. It seems like the camber arms for the 4WAS camber arms are shorter, The adjustable ones are fully contracted and the lowest camber I can get is -1.6 I believe to get toe as zero as possible.
Rear feels much better though I have to find a better shop. The car has had a caster out of spec however just by a few but this guy's machine does not read caster, can't complain.

The Front since it's using 370z strut assy. lowers and gives me negative camber, I would like to get a adjustable upper control arm to correct these. I might have to remove and resurface the spacers or test the car with them off. I get some weird vibrations at 60mph that feel like tire area and other times like drive shaft area
