Welp, @sobeIPL the day has finally arrived. I can confirm that the QX70 Dome light is A) Black B) The Correct sizing for a G37

Just so clean. It's silly how excited I was for this part to come in (my wife looked at me as if I grew a third eye when I told her about it), but it's honestly the result of several late nights cruising through Infiniti part diagrams to source it. Quite satisfying, and will absolutely contribute to this sporty "OEM+" look I'm after.

Unfortunately, looks like Infiniti decided to switch up one of the wiring harnesses (other two are same connects, just latched in different spots) as seen below. Never ends!

That's awesome!!!
You should be able to transfer your wiring over if you can't modify the QX one.

The white inner section looks the same, so you could prob just transfer that over with the wiring and all

I am so jealous. I may pull the trigger too. Do you have a plan for wiring? I’m going to look it in more detail later. Swapping the white housing piece is likely the best option. How’s it look with the clear lenses? Your using those right?

I am cutting up the 370z visors and fusing the OEM black parts into the G37. And suede wrapped to match the rest of my interior.

here’s a quick look

I am about to try and do this. Can you expand a little more on what the issue was? I’m thinking of splicing the mirror but just keeping and painting the oem swing arm. That part doesn’t get touched so I think the paint has a good chance of lasting..

Yep, looks like it should be an easy transfer of the white portions. And @sobeIPL I'll be swapping my GTR clear lenses over once I get the car back from paint. Anxious to get this interior work complete.

Essentially to swap that cylinder (used to clip visor to sun visor clip) from G37 Beige to 370Z Black; I had to cut out the plastic bar that was on there. I tried gluing in a new metal bar in this place- but it wouldn't hold.

I also abandoned the project as the sun visor clips for the G37 sedan are different than the Z/Coupe/Q60; so there wouldn't be an OEM black plastic replacement available

Should be easier for you with a coupe.

Smile Ebay black grille link please ?

Firstly, I really love the effort you put in your G ! I own a black 2012 g37xS and was looking around for the black grille on ebay and found a few, but they all say said its for sedans without the sport package.I guess the bumper in sport appearance package makes the difference. Can you share the link to the ebay grille? I'd really appreciate it !

I appreciate the kind words! I looked back at my purchases, I got my grille in '18 and it doesn't look like the seller has any in stock. In any case, there shouldn't be any difference in the grills (sport or non-sport). The real difference is between the 07-09 G35/37s and '10+ models. As long as it's compatible with the latter you'll be fine.

Really clean build, huge fan of the OEM+! Currently getting my front end re-sprayed and roof painted! Will definitely try the headliner project next!

Thanks Abhi! Love your build as well (similarly OEM+ vibes). It's actually making me consider having the roof painted black as well... hmm hmm. You'll love the headliner- completely transforms the vibe of the interior.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm actually

Sadly nope, car has still been at the paint show (about a month right now). Painter got really backed up, and since I haven't had to drive anywhere I haven't really pushed it.

Sadly not much. Got a few more photos from the shop last Friday that I was meaning to post. I'm out on vacation this week, but really hoping the car gets finished up when I get back.

Getting closer. So excited to see how this all turns out. While they had the car in the shop I had the hood re-sprayed and several door dings corrected.

Nothing like some crispy fresh KAD goodness. Enjoy the progress pics 🥰
