This new setup has helped tuck the muffler slightly higher but I am running into some contact issue with the passenger pipe of the y hitting my transmission mount. I'll have to wrap some exhaust wrap to keep it from hitting.

Very very niceeeeeee!!!!

I didn’t finish this over the past weekend but I at least removed the Circuit Werks test pipes. With over a year worth of use, the flex section still looks good and all the welds are still good also. I was happy with it but now moving on to ART pipes.

The graphite gaskets still look to be in good condition. I bought Z1 metal gaskets just in case but from some reviews it seems to still leak. I am going to try to reuse the graphite gaskets first as I like how it can compress. I don’t have flame map so I’m not worried about burning them.

I also recently traded my Motordyne center muffler and y section for the 3" primary dual setup (plans to boost in the future). I did a quick install to hear what it sounds like. Man......its a bad idea, being NA and running a true 3" dual setup. I was hoping it'll sound decent but it sounds like crap. I placed an order for another muffler and saving these for when I turbo the car.

FWIW, the Fast Intentions exhaust has no flex section.

Yea, I took a look at different manufactures and came to the conclusion that I would be ok. I understand OE manufactures have it there for specific reasons, but I'll take my chances.

I ran 3'' Full Downpipes into 3'' true dual on my Q50 Red Sport. It sounded terrible. Run an X or Y pipe.

Even on your Red Sport? I would think the turbo would help with the sound. My muffler arrives tomorrow from Motordyne so I'll be running the original setup. You had a Motordyne setup for you awd G at one point right?

Yeah on my red sport. It sounds like a dirt bike and I could not hear my turbo spool anymore. I had them for a painful 2.5 months until Fast Intentions came in.

I had full Motordyne with DC headers on my RWD G37. I think my favorite VQ exhaust period.

I had to replace my passenger side gasket on the Art Pipe, fit and sealed pretty damn good.

There was a G37 with only K&N intakes, test pipes, and Motordyne exhaust that put out 318 whp. And I'm here with ported Upper and Lower plenums, 3" intakes and EPS throttle bodies on top of him only to make about the same power, 320 whp.

I didn't stay all day but right before I left, the highest dyno was 353 whp from a G37. Long tube intakes, ported upper plenum, Z1 Headers, Tomei test pipes, and Motordyne exhaust.

Now I want to check if my compression is good, then maybe replace my Circuit Werks test pipes with ART pipes. I already have new 3" intakes, TBs, and plenums coming.
That's about what I am at with my power sucker 18 x 8.5 G35s rear stock rims, michelin SS tires and 3.69 gears. BTW for each +.3x gearing you lose about 2whp / 2tq. Tires and wheels also play a part. I lost 6whp / 6tq going with wider / heavier rear wheel setup (dyno my car before and after). Which was about a pound per whq/tq. Haven't dyno'd with my kosei drag setup (rears are 8 pounds lighter). But they have dropped my ET .10 - .15 off the 1/8th mile.

For the 2 bolt gasket, the current multi-layer gasket has been doing me good so far. It’s the 3 bolt triangle gasket I was worried about but I have options now.

Took the time to replace my old intake setup. I actually sold the old setup so I had no choice but to install the new one.

Unboxing the intake kit. Saran wrapped and bubble packaged.

The black powdercoat look so good. I like the subtleness of the matt vs gloss

all installed in the bay. I would like to realign the pipes at the connections as I don't feel I got a good straight connection and one side is angled.

Comparison of Michael Upton's vs Rej's. Nothing wrong with Michael's kit. I just wanted something with less sections, the maf hidden, and welded PCV provisions. The welded v stack is nice also.
