I have no opinion (these days ) about the efficacy of modifications best left to engineers and racers, but this thing is cool. Just is.

Jeeps use something like that on the front to eliminate Death Wobble - qqv - so I don't doubt that it does *something*.

Bought a set of JDM headlights for a decent price. It needs some cleaning up on the lens.

Planning to get these modified but trying to think of ideas that's different than my current headlights

Picked up a set of JWT cams and spare VHR heads.

Seller had it listed as C2 but when I went to measure the lift, it came out to be 11.3mm. I didn't realize at the time that was the spec for the C1 and figured I was off from the 11.7mm advertised lift for the C2 due to human measurement error.

Saw a great deal for titanium exhaust and PPE headers and jumped on it.

I sold my previous HBP 3.5" stainless exhaust and that provided the funds to get these. This exhaust was also made by HBP and is also 3.5"

I'm very disappointed with some of the welds on the header. Not what I would have expected, there is a gap from an incomplete weld.

Does this effect have a name (is a portion of it "Tramlining"?) as I would like to research it myself as I have experienced similar issues on flat->Wavy sections of road, but always attributed it to my shocks/struts having over 70K miles on them.

It almost feels like the shock/strut is comfortable with the downward dampening, but that it is losing control when the car rebounds in the opposite direction. Feels a little scary in that the car feels like it wants to leave the ground when this happens.

Same thing you are describing correct? The stretch of road looks visibly perfect, but causes the car to oscillate horizontally in a strange manner in the 80-90mph range

Update from Dr. Google:
  • Jounce/Compression:
This term describes the upward motion where the suspension compresses the spring and shock absorber.
Are certain types of shocks struts better suited to manage Jounce?

I'm also not too sure on the cause but its the same sensation you are describing that I feel.

I'm not too sure on shock/spring combo to remedy this.

Tramlining (IE, moving like a tram on rails) is when the car involuntarily steers left and right based on road fluctuations. At its worst, mine would almost change lanes if I hit the centerline lane marker paint. Feels like you're continually fighting to keep it in a straight line.

So far, I'm thinking mostly tires with a little bit of turn axis shift from the Sport Coupe wheels vs the duckfeet. Although - I haven't replaced the control arms but the bushings *seem* ok. New struts didn't help, new springs didn't help. New front hubs didn't help (but were needed anyway).

Oscillation bounce can be a weird thing - in the front on Jeeps it's called death wobble. Google a video - it's f'ing terrifying at speed. Cross damper and good struts help prevent it. It can be related to the resonance freq of the chassis, or the struts being too soft OR too stiff. Or just the road is messed up in a frequency generating way- think a dirt road recently scraped that has the little ripples.

Picked up a set of Volk GTU in 18x8 +29 and 18x10 +30. Did a quick fitting before trading it for this set of Volk LE37 in 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. I'll have to measure the offset as I couldn't find the information on the wheel.

I'm falling behind on making content for my channel. I'm still working on a video for the Henko Autolab exhaust.

Have plans to do a y-pipe comparison between the ISR, resonted Z1, and Henko Autolab using an ISR single exit exhaust as the base.

This past Saturday, a group of my friends got together to do a dyno day.
The shop was NIght Owl Performance in Marrieta, GA.
Cars there ranged from Mustang GT350, Whipple 5.0, Z06 Vette, Type R and Type S, 350z DE, Genesis G70, S14 KA-t

My car made 338whp 292wtq
Its the first dyno since I've got the car up and running. I'm still on the previous tune from Martin back 7 years ago, and since then, I've added headers and switched from 70mm TB to 75mm. Still on 93 pump gas.
I was surprised by the torque numbers and was asking my other friends with similar mods.
The last dyno graph is a friend who made similar numbers on a different dyno (Countersteer LLC that's also a dynojet) 347whp and 294wtq

Bought a fuel return system done by Eugene.
Kit has a radium fuel filter, R35 GTR fuel pressure regulator, Fuel-It flex fuel sensor
Also includes a 340lph fuel pump already installed in the basket.

wow, that's nice. I wish he had some kind of drop-in solution when I was doing my fuel pump. The site I ordered from sucked. It's also interesting he switched to a fuel-it kit. He was having that guy who he works with (forgot his name) put together a kit using a Hondata unit or something. Mine was just an E85 setup though.
