Concur on the no-VLSD thing. Panda still interested in the 3.9 R&P.
im going to hang onto the 3.9 diff for a bit.
I bought the 3.9 diff assembled with a VLSD unit. The gear are actually from Central20 as opposed to factory. I got bought it from a 350z owner so I had to swap out the stub axles to maintain the correct ring tone gears for ABS.
But the 2014+ manual 370z have VLSD with the 3.916 gearing.
That was more an availability thing. Only way I'm finding one around here is new gears and new diff (since VLSD is trash) which starts looking like 50% of the value of the car.
Any more strange than the Q50 Redsport not coming with a VLSD?
At least the aftermarket addressed this particular shortcoming.
I wonder why the sport sedan VLSD was never supported with different gears? Specifically, what makes this differential difficult to upgrade?
I think for the G37, only the manual Verts got the shorter FD gears due to the increased vehicle weight so the FD was to help make up for the performance. The 3.916 might be too short of a gear when paired with the 7speed auto for Nissan/Infiniti's thoughts.
Not sure on the reasoning for the switch for the 2014+ manual nismos vs the older.
Some progress on the exhaust and y pipe from Henko Auotlab
Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resontor and Vibrant muffler
As an early Christmas gift, my brother and wife got me the Tesla screen. This unit was ordered from an Alibaba vendor.
This one looks similar to the Rhino unit but theirs seems to like an arm cortex-a73, while the unit I have uses a snapdragon 665 cpu.
I also ordered the V5 JDM taillights from JDM_Stance on ebay. I sent him the imperfections and he gave me a partial refund.
I missed out on Entcee's set when he was selling them.

I believe this is because of how the ABS already applies a type of Electronic LSD by pulsing of the the brake caliper of the faster/slipping wheel.
A LSD is about 40lbs extra, something that a heavy vehicle + E-LSD might not need.
With a proper alignment, OEM ECM, fresh tires and TCS off a G37 wont spin much. This to me means that a heavier than a Journey G37 vehicle will be just fine with the standard electric traction assistance.
It would make sense why a higher final drive for those, a higher FD with the same traction strategy will accelerate similarly than a LSD with a lower drive.
Someone needed to buy a rear subframe stay bar/rod, I offered to sell mine and go ahead and install my 370z Nismo brace and damper.
Modme started a thread on installing one on his coupe and inspired me to do it. I had an offset bracket made by Ron Chimmer on facebook as he also installed one on his sedan.
The 370z brace is roughly 3mm thicker than the g37 one.

Interested to see how that changes driving dynamics.
Its not significant. Only thing I notice is how the rear suspension doesn't bounce/oscillate as much when driving over roads that look smooth but are actually wavy.
There's a section of freeway I travel frequently and would always cause my rear to bounce, and yesterday after the install, there was less of it.
