Also, do they not pose a potential safety issue if you were rear ended? It looks nice bagged though

I was kind of thinking the same thing at first but then I thought, its just compressed air...so maybe it'll just be louder as the air escapes if theres a collision

ya with the vert there is no room to mount the tanks when the roof is down. I have seen a couple other guys use multiple smaller 1 gal tanks in the spare wheel well but I didnt want to do that. but no the tanks are aluminum and very light like less than 2 lbs each and they are just filled with air so they don't affect the handling at all.

Looks great btw!
the bumper is not hard to remove, a few plastic snaps along the sides and some in the trunk opening. I had to ditch the foam piece underneath though because the tanks got in the way. hopefully i shouldnt have to check the tanks at all, the air lift system is designed to purge the water trap on its own so other than if it leaks i should never have to check them.

I dont know of any major changes, there are some minor ones like some have cooled seats and some dont but other than that they are the same.

Welcome to the site! Models prior to 2012 have an inferior oil gallery gasket that can be expensive if they fail (around $2k give or take) it's not something that fails w/ regularity but something you should be aware of. Here's a big thread on that issue~https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...xperience.html

Now back to your build thread bigwilly

Beautiful car!

Question about your rear camber arms. I'm under the impression that there are none that fit the convertible. Did you have the AMS arms modified?

I dont know for sure because they came on the car from the previous owner, but they sure did come in handy when doing the alignment.
