I want the flexibility of more customization, with either having the ability to change the faces, hardware, barrel/lip as I please.

So I did find some wheels, however they're for the wifes car as my search continues.

But I did find a set or squared GTR fronts I may end up going a different color pending on how the contrast turns out.

hahaha well I mean at least their forged......and from what i've found online, the wheels weigh in at 25-26lbs which seems on the heavy side for Rays, but couldn't find a clear definitive answer online.

Spent around 6 hours on Saturday detailing her . Got about 95% paint correction done and extremely happy with the outcome. The Malbec is a much deeper purple now. My only regret is not ceramic coating her, I have been researching ceramic coating for over a month now and just unsure on which brand I want to go with. Will probably end up doing so in the next couple of months.

For those detail guys, I used Porter Cable 7424x with Meguiars 105 ultra cut + Orange Hex Logic cutting pads, followed by Meguiras 205 Ultra Polish + White Hex Logic pad, then finished with Meguiars Hi-tech Yellow Wax + Black Hex Logic pad.

This video below is a 50/50, and it was very hard to pick up the results with the Malbec flake in the light.

Well they are here and I must say...I'm in love! Seriously the pics do not do these wheels justice. I ordered "The System" Gorilla black lug set, which should actually be here today. SO hoping to have the wheels on tomorrow and get an alignment this weekend.

Man I don't miss polishing my previous malbec black, it was utterly impossible to keep swirl free for a few weeks. One of the hardest colors to maintain and I def failed at it towards the end since it required so much time and effort. Glad to see your car looking so great.

Also - re-paint the GTR wheels..

Why is that? Did you run it through car washes or no offense to this, but have a poor wash system?

I mean swirl marks will happen regardless, but they can def be minimized and having them back after only a few weeks sounds like something wasnt right. I can say that since the paint correction, polish, and wax, it def has brought out a deeper richer purple. I will be ceramic coating in the near future

As for the wheels, no way I'm re-painting, their not going on my car. Thier going on the wife's Shadow Graphite G.

Important thing to note is that I don't have a garage and also I live in New England where we have roads filled with sand and salt in the winter so unless your car is fully wrapped in clear bra, you will get a lot of swirls and chips unless you drive a winter beater. Only recently I decided to have clear bra installed on my front ends and boy has that made a massive difference in the winter, especially Xpel which come spring time makes it seem as if there was no winter and my front end is brand new, love it. Never took the car to car washes unless it was winter so I'd only use a touchless ones. I wash bi-weekly using foam cannon and 2-bucket set up, also polished my car twice a year (spring and then fall) but it was just too much with my bi-weekly drives to Long Island from Boston. It took a toll on the paint and my lip which by the end of the lease was literally blasted and looked white. I used quality products, in fact having this color made me dish out a lot of money for cleaning products as pictured below which was just a fraction of the supplies I have. Trying new products to see what would work brought me to CarPro products and till this day I swear by their stuff.

You sound like me, during the summer time I normally wash once a week due to the number of afternoon showers we get and you counter looks like mine. I certainly believe its just a small fraction, over the years I have accumulated a lot of good and a lot of bad.

Funny how paints and cars can be drastically different between them. My old 10' G KH3 did not work well with Lake County pads and Meguiars products, used alot of Walfgang products with great results...just pricey of course. Then my 13' Malbec G showed excellent results with the Meguiars products.

I hoping to have both G's ceramic coated FULLY (paint, wheels, glass, plastic trim) by the end of July at the very latest.
