I'm going for the Fuji + SKYLINE look. That bit of identity crisis should add nicely to my 4DSC decal, LOL.

You're coming to the August meet-up, right? Kirk will be bringing his Q50 Red Sport with a Meisterschaft exhaust.

LOL yea you'll really throw people off!

Red Sport should give you an idea of what it sounds like, but unfortunately with the red sport...its no where close to the G sound.

Cool, down there a few times a year, will certainly reach out.

Have planned to do the same, actually. I think of it more as an homage than trying to mimic JDM badging.

If any consolation, V37 is badged as an Infiniti Skyline in JPN.

When is it? Been wanting to go for the last few years, but I get wrapping up in things easily. Will try harder this year.

I don't want to copy everything you do, but that carbon looks great on your interior trim. Where did you find it?

You're right, we probably did just talk about this. I turn another year older in an hour and a half so I blame that.

I keep going back and forth on the Skyline badge on the trunk and I will be curious to see how it looks when you do it. I think I might get rid of the fuji and just put the Skyline and then the 370GT on the back. Then again, if I switch to full Nissan badges I will probably have to wait until Z1 comes out with rain shields for the intakes because if I put a Nissan badge up front I think it almost has to be a custom mesh grill that I will have to make. Decisions, decisions.

My 2nd choice for vanity plate was 4DSC since I feel like the Maxima has been just shy of being worthy of the nomenclature since it debuted as a 4DSC. Guess if I switched to Nissan & Skyline badges I might have to change my plates to 4DSC.

Thanks, bought it off the forums awhile back, but I believe the work was done by Carbon Element.

Never heard of them. Do they have a website as searching for "Carbon Element" just brings up all kinds of information about the periodic table.

Not that I'm aware of. Just send Tony a message through FB, he's pretty good about responding.

On a different note, went to a local performance shop yesterday and was going to place the car on the dyno for ****s and giggles to see where my base is currently without a tune. Unfortunately didnt get enough time in to do so. Going to aim for next Sunday.

I do have good news, the local shop does deal with the upper ported plenum manifold and has proven numbers on the dyno. Avg gains were around 12hp/10tq throughout the power-band with peaks coming in at 14hp/12tq respectively and at a fraction of the coast compared to Z1 and Motordyne.

I hoping to have a dyno before and after to show the real results. I also talked to the tuner, if anyone is interested in the upper ported plenum, please pm and I can provide you more information.

Brother did get his car on the dyno, best pull was 314whp, 259lbtq. He is without a tune and running Stillen Gen 3, Motordyne Art pipes, stock Y, muffler delete.

Glad to see it all turned out well.

Damn that sounds mental AF with the RHFC. I'm sure you'll still have tons of fun without it though, as you said its a mental sound.

So got her thrown on the dyno finally....first run 100% untouched was @310whp, 253tq.

Did a relearn and was @315whp and 259tq

Put the ported upper plenum on and finished the day @ a hair under 318whp and 262tq! This is untuned and the stock cats were not liking it at all! Stopped before we melted them. So now the hole i'm stuck in...is if I get test pipes or HFC's it will free up even more hp, problem is I will be back at the INSANE exhaust volume. Thinking of resonated test pipes at this point.....maybe Art pipes or FI

Love the sound and those are good numbers! You're running FI, right?
