It's mine, but it turned into a Red Sport build thread with a couple of other RS owners chiming in, which I'm perfectly okay with.

Haha! Ya. the Q50/Q60 Forum is still quite dead.

Yeah, the Q50 thread isn't quite what I thought it would be, and the Facebook forums aren't very helpful when it comes to issues with the car. But if you want to figure out how to slam the car with an outrageous amount of camber that's the place to go.

Speaking of issues with the car... I had a check engine light come on Saturday morning as soon as I started the car in the parking lot at work. I got home and the code was a P0456 or emissions leak. I checked the gas cap and it was tight. I called the place that installed my exhaust and they said that it could be that a evap hose is clogged or that the charcoal canister has gas in it, but that there aren't any sensors in the exhaust so it shouldn't be anything cat back related. I've got an appointment to take it in tomorrow so we'll see what happens. I also have a squeaky drivers side window when it's wet, and a loud rattle during a cold start coming from the passenger side front fender well area.

I haven't got any engine codes yet. However, that was exactly what I was going to assume it was. Just because I remember my g37 having the gas cap issue. Did you get a tune after the catback at all to get the full gains out of it?

No issues with a window squeak. However, my car is a bit loud from the engine on a cold start. Although, that seems to be a common occurrence with these cars and I had it off the lot.

I'm going in for an oil change on Friday as I'm at 6000 KMs. Yes early, but it being my first oil change and the car having already seen a day of autocross and a road trip. I think its time :-P. Especially since I'm auto crossing it again in 2 weeks.

Yeah, I double checked the gas cap. I was at a half tank when it happened, and filled up again and confirmed the gas cap was tight again and still no luck. I didn't tune it after having the GTHaus installed, and I honestly probably won't.

A couple of people on the Facebook forums have complained about having a squeaky window when the window is wet and the dealer had to reapply more silicon to the tracks to fix it.

I had my oil changed before I hit 1,500 miles. The build date on mine was 02/2016 and I go by the 5,000mi/1 yr intervals so I had it done back in February.

I took my car to the dealership today to drop it off for service and they overbooked their loaner cars, but they didn't tell me till I had driven 40 minutes to the dealership. They said I could wait around till someone comes back and turns their loaner back in, or come back later. I wasn't about to make that drive again or wait around so I had to reschedule. I wasn't very happy about wasting my time like that.

A letter to the GM would seem appropriate.

Tell them you were going to buy some INFINITI merch at the Parts Dept while there, but now you're just not feeling it anymore. I suspect you'll get a nice hat and shirt out of it.

Damn! Ya. I haven't decided on GT Haus yet, I ordered the lower downpipes from fast intentions, as GT Haus doesn't have any anyway. I loved GT Haus on my old car and GT Haus is coming out with a race exhaust for the Q60, so that'd be sick. However, I'm curious to see what unfolds with the AMS partnership. https://www.amsperformance.com/infin...market-q50-q60

I heard a tune is a good thing, as the car can have over boost issues with a catback and or lower downpipes, that might be what caused your engine code. Plus well, tons of gains to be had. People are seeing 440 WHP / 450 Torque easily with an exhaust, downpipes and a tune.

Lastly, ordered my tires as my rotiforms are 2 weeks out. Got some pretty track rated ones as I'm hoping I can autocross and hit the track a few times this summer and well. Why not? :-P

The Q50 fb is just ridiculous and seems to be filled with a lot of adolescent owners, many of which can't seem to properly communicate with their present day lingo acronyms or perhaps their complete lack of communication skills.
I too have a squeaky front window when it's wet and raining out and I have to roll it down, really annoying as I had the same issue with my previous coupe. All my interior door handle cover plates rattle which is highly highly annoying. No codes fortunately, perhaps due to my axle-back but fingers crossed for keeping it that way. I'm installing my 15mm spacers Monday, the rear wheels may need to be modified a bit to allow for the studs to clear the wheel rear cavity behind the hub but I'm excited about that. Other than that, once I receive the correct coupler for my intakes, those should be going on end of the week and then I will be all set.

The code ended up being a faulty gas cap, supposedly.

I had the exact same issue with the interior door covers rattling on all four doors. It took two trips to get them to properly insulate it so it would stop rattling. Every single Infiniti in the showroom had the same issue. That was the first thing I took care of within a week of purchase.

The car is still at the dealership, going on day three now, to try to replicate the rattle at start up. I'll try to post a video later of it. I won't get the car back till Monday at the earliest, and so far they have yet to replicate the issue, of course.

Edit: here's the video.

Oh wow! I mean it all sounded normal until 24 seconds into the video. That sounds terrible, hopefully they can fix it. I have the usual rattling during initial start up which goes away after 5-10 seconds but yours got progressively worse. Keep us posted..

According to a couple of people on the Facebook forum this is normal and their cars do it. I don't care if it is normal or not, it doesn't sound good at all and I don't want my car to souls like it's broken, especially since I've only got 3,400 miles on it.

100% agreed, I'm at 8k miles now, slowly inching toward my first oil change.

Here are some videos of my Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust during a cold start along with minor revs (too many people walking around in the neighborhood).
NOTE: headphones def recommended.
Camera - Nikon D5200
