White G37 Sedan Build

Well, I bought this car in March of 2015 just to daily and leave it alone… and here i am starting a "build" thread Why? well because I see a lot of room for improvement that would make this car the perfect daily driver… for me. As we all know, the Vq37 is an outstanding platform and pairing it with the 7AT goes very nicely. I traded in my 370z on the g37 because I couldn’t stand driving a 2 seater any more and the g37 sedan was not far behind it in acceleration. After about a month I fell back into my old ways and started buying parts lol So here we go. I am planing on building something very soon so this is also a budget build. my plan is to make it better without dumping tons of money into it. So i would say this is more of a budget "build" lol

Aem intakes (came from 370z nismo. No choke point at the MAF)

So with the exhaust I put down around 295. I added the intakes and the car jumped to a ridiculous air to fuel ratio of 15.5 by 4500 RPMS which means.... They flow. A lot. lol so I ended up flashing EcuTek to make them work. After adding the intakes and tune it made an extra 12hp which is pretty good I guess. This is with stock cats too. So I believe they are now the choke point. There is no way that the intakes are the restricting factor anymore. So mods are:
AEM long tubes
Nismo 370z H-pipe
Nismo 370z mid pipe
Custom 2-1/4 inch axle back.

I (almost) finished making my exhaust this weekend. I still have to order mufflers, get it powdered and get resonated tips. heres what it sounds like with just resonators. Don’t expect anything amazing below… lol This is my first time and I learned that building exhausts on your back and trying to tack with your eyes closed because your harbor freight mask doesn’t fit under the car really sucks a$$ lol

Underneath: (had to increase the shadows feature where the piping would show. the light sections are where I wire brushed before and after welding. pretty happy with the turn out. order some 14in round magnaflow mufflers and I’m still looking for tips.

it was time for some brakes so i ordered a Package from z1. It was money well spent for sure!! link below
https://www.z1motorsports.com/brakes...ge-p-4671.html

While doing the brakes i also swapped in some 370z Nismo struts/shocks while keeping my eibach springs.

August 2016
Sold my square setup of coupe wheels and finally finished the square nismo wheels I put together. also painted the trim piece on the trunk to match the wheels. I think it all came out a little better than I expected.

19x9.5 +40 255/40/19 square
Mixed jet black and sparkling silver to get this color. Came out a little darker than I wanted but it will do for now.

Thanks man! I taped off a good bit and I was worried they would come out tacky. Over all I'm pretty happy. I messed up where I painted over the ribbed part of the housings and I'm getting the typical bubbling there. I pray and hope this doesn't get worse.

Aw crap...I hate the feeling after you put hours into something, especially paint, and it doesn't go your way. Im going to have to apply a protective coat to my recently done emblem due to a chip that happened today on the way to work -_-. Do you think youll go back in and re-do any of it?

Dang that sucks!! Do you still have the paint you used to do it? And yea, I will open them back up if it chips. As much as I don't want too, it would drive me CRAZY knowing its there. The bubbles already drive me crazy, I can't imagine if the paint chips or the headlight melts

Good catch. I left that mod out thank you though!! I'll be rocking it like this until I'm ready to start dropping real money. But for right now I'm just targeting all the little things to get it ready for weekend mountain runs. My vision is slowly coming to life

This made my day much better. I thought it was just my pint job. I wonder if maybe the baking process in the oven had some kind of affect? Is the rest of your headlight painted and they left that part chrome? Or your headlights are completely stock.
