Here are some pics of the damage. I had difficulties getting a pic of the full damage, but what the pics show, it is like that all over the car. Only part that wasn't affected, was the passenger side door and passenger rear quarter panel.

How do they even fix that? Do they just use some body filler or replace the panels? Im thinking that actually COULD total the car.

You'd be dumbfounded seeing what a skilled PDR shop can do. It will look good as new.

Mixed feelings about it being totaled lol. One hand I want it to be, the other, I really don't. Mixed emotions.

That's what I hear, though personally I have never had PDR done on a car of mine. Another reason why I don't think insurance will total it. There are some spots that will be difficult for PDR to repair, if not impossible.

And it is supposed to hail Wednesday

Oh wow looks like you got hit by hail too. My car was outside as well and I somehow only got 4 dings. 1 on hood.. 2 on roof and 1 on trunk. Meanwhile a friend parked down the street had his car basically totaled.

I was at my buddies house and his garage was full. Couldn’t convince him to move his 3 series or his m5 out lol.

When it rains, or hails, it pours. Anyway while driving my tire light started flashing. Doesn't happen every drive, but happens about every 3rd drive.

Took it to the dealer to get a diag, and of course to check a few odds and ends, as well get an oil change (free). Well NOTHING, besides the oil change was completed, and found out they used conventional oil instead of synthetic. Idk had I known, I would have just threw the coupon away.

What psi are you at? Since it only happens ever so often you may have to go up a couple pounds, or may have a sensor going bad.

I don't think a PDR specialist will be able to get some of those tiny dents out. The ones on the hood he probably can cause you can remove the insolation and may be able to heat and bang some out, but even that may not work. The one's on the roof even tougher. Let us know how that all plays out. Will your insurance cover the damage since it was an act of god?

Google search says a TPMS sensor is bad. Did you take it to the dealer b/c it was under warranty?

I'm very...particular, about my cars lol. If it has a function that function needs to wek as designed. I guess it's an OCD? Anyway, I have an extended warranty, but sure if they will cover it yet. Dealer oyldnt replicate it so nothing happened.

Whatever is on the door, 32 or 36? Seriously I checked 3 times and the pressures are not dropping from what I set them to, based off what factory call for. Advisor guesses it's a bad battery, sensor, or like my buddy said the module? Of course no codes were stored. Go figure.

Yeah that's my thought. My advisor said since the hood is aluminium, he thinks the hood has to be replaced. And yeah insurance will cover and it is well over my deductible. Oh well! It's the small dents that concern me as well. I think a few pieces will be getting replaced.

And possibly the alternator is failing? Only charging to 13v max. Not sure if that is normal for our cars, but my BMW friend is telling me that is too low. Getting the same reading from the OBDII, the 12 V, cig lighter, as well as my escort.

The battery is good, just got that replaced and with the car off, the battery is at 12.5v and holds it.
