Well, we have different cars in many respects. White-black. Coupe-vert. 6mt-7at. But, still read every line of every page posted so far. Nice work going on here. Subscribed.

Also, check page one post #14...
I finally got my twm shifter for Xmas from the girl!!! Lol can't wait to install... What do you think of it?? Is it noticeably shorter? Shift smoother? Cut out any vibration? I want it in now but I don't have the time! Ugh.

On my way to the doctors office, I went to shift from 3rd to second. I heard a pop like I had hit something. The car won't shift out of gear and there is not shifting gate. Can literally move the shifter in a 360° circle. I assume the tech didn't torque the bolt down properly.

Got the car back. Dealer covered the tow and the repair, even gave me a free oil change with filter or $50 off service or parts.

Ended up being what I thought it was. The bolt that connects the shifter to the shift linkage had not been torqued properly and had backed out when I was driving.

I would not consider this bad luck, it did not happen on the highway, I was not late to my appointment, and I was able to coast the car into a parking spot in a lot. Gotta be positive as things could have certainly been worse!

Today I went to Lowes to use my gift card I received for Christmas. Ended picking up a leather punch and one of those magnetic bowls for screws and other small metal objects. With the leather punch I was FINALLY able to install my new shift boot from TWM. Fitment is not 100% but I was able to replace the crappy OE leather boot that the tech had somehow managed to ruin. Pick your battles. Overall happy and will post a pic tomorrow!

Debating installing my 9500 ci or selling it and going with a different radar/laser jamming system.

Sorry for the late response. You have probably already answered your questions, but...

Awesome present! Install was not bad. I'd even say it was very easy. I tend to read the instructions and get a bit overwhelmed. I have to dive into it and then feel foolish for overthinking it. Happens every time hahaha.

I love it! I do think the shift is shorter, not devastatingly shorter, but it is noticeable. I don't think the shifter is any smoother, but I chalk that up to still using a lot of OE parts. The vibration decrease MIGHT be because of the weight of the specter **** I have, but yes vibration is decreased, but not eliminated. I took my time, and it took me a few hours.

OH! and tomorrow I need to adjust my clutch pedal. The tech moved the pedal back to stock position, meaning it sits a bit higher than the brake pedal. I cannot stand a high clutch and despise a clutch with a high engagement point.

Aren't you located in Houston? Its really not hard I promise! Hardest part I thought was putting the rubber grommet on that keeps road grit out of the bearing and grease.

Close, I live just over an hour south west of Houston. And that's comforting, I just need to get out there and do it! /insert Shia Labeouf gif here.

Ended up pushing it back another day. I'm not sure how to tackle going though the firewall. I guess there are multiple spots to go though, but I need a day under the car to figure it all out.
