How goes the hunt for next car?
Or are you already thinking next-next car, and leap-frogging right over the Vette?

Actually, the hunt is going...not well, and not terribly. It's hard to find the one I want for the price I want. It's not because I'm cheap, it's because people just don't seem to like the same options I like in the color I want. There is 1 in the whole country right now, and it doesn't have the exact options...just close. I will probably wait a couple of more months, try to find the exact car I'm looking for.
But actually...the Vette is the next-next car. I will either be picking up a Toyota Corolla or a Honda Accord in the next month or so for a DD.

Corvette owners in particular over-value their cars, making it a very difficult market to wade through. What you might want to consider for a long-vision approach to this project, is a Car Broker. Someone who makes a living locating cars for people.
Another idea: use the power of Teh Internet to locate a used car dealership that specializes only in Corvettes. It doesn't entirely matter where they are located, if you're willing to travel and give up some trust... assuming you did your homework. There are a lot of them out there, that have been in business for decades with quality reputations. We have one here in Western NY called Turner Automotive. Nothing but Vette's, although occasionally an exotic will pop up in their inventory. The point being, places like that have skilled access to resources that you don't (yet). It could be worth the extra expense.

Well, car is finally parted out and all parts are sold. Car is detailed, fresh oil change, new tires, and up for sale on AutoTrader! Feels good. Now out of town tomorrow to visit in-laws....hmmmm. LOL
Oh, as a side note, house also got listed today. Feels good to go outside, see the for sale sign and the key box on the door.

Well, the G is sold. Was a purchase due to this site here, so I am really happy to have been able to be a part of this community/family. Even if Rochester does harass me all the time. I just took ownership of my new dd, a 2008 Honda Accord V6 Coupe in Belize Blue Pearl. It's no G, but it's no slouch either. I think she will work just fine for a dd. I'll still be around, peeking at certain people's build threads, and reminiscing the "good ole days". Take care all!!

Well hello everyone. It's been a while. As a few of you who followed my quick exit know...I was leaving to move to a less family friendly car that I could just enjoy being silly and immature in.
Instead of purchasing in November and paying to "store" a vehicle in my garage all winter, I waited and just recently purchased my new ride. I will post a few more pics later. I am truly happy to be able to have this car right now, as it may be 25 years before I have the opportunity to drive/own one again. My wife is almost as excited as I am, and we can't wait for Cars and Coffee and yup, ZDayZ. So if any of you are going this year, I'll see you there.

Wow, you swung for the fences on that one. Impressive car.
Cyber Grey Metallic is such a pretty color. Long ago, I (mistakenly) thought the new Camaro SS was in my sights, and if that were to happen, it was 100% going to be Cyber Gray Metallic. Love that color.

Thanks a ton!!
Thanks Brad. I'll shoot you a message here in a sec.
Thanks John. Always good hearing from you. I have to keep stopping by to check on your build thread, plus I still am going to be going to ZDayZ every year that I can! So maybe one of these years I'll see some of you there. My club is probably more "other" cars than Z's and G's at this point, but I love it.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. Hope all is well your way.
