Intricate's Mod Thread - A Detailed Journey
Hey guys...I thought long and hard about how to break this news to you all...but there's no nice way to do it haha.
Basically it comes down to this. A few life changes came along and they have "forced" me to part out and sell my G. It's not that I ran out of money or anything like that...but to keep a long story short...I want to move to a nicer area for my daughter to go to school, and I want to save money for a car I've wanted for a really, really long time. My guess is that it will take me 2-3 months to settle into my new place, another 1-2 months of serious research to find the car I'm looking for, at the right price.
I guess I could tell you all more about the car I'm looking at, but if I did that, there would be no surprise and it wouldn't be as fun for me...keeping you in suspense and all.
It's been a short but fun ride, and I'm sure I will miss the G. I'm picking up an Accord sedan for the time being, and that will become my DD when I get my other car. See, I'm at least giving you little tidbits here and there.
Thank you all for all of your help. I know there were a lot of people (well at least 1 or 2 haha) looking forward to the difference in HP the car would make with the HFC's and the CBE....and I wish I could provide that for you. Problem is, the car takes up like...all of my time and focus, and right now I'm working on my new business, working full time, and trying to move my family...so I'll just part her off, sell her, and then put that money in the bank to throw a down-payment on my new baby sometime in the not-too-distant future. I'll give you one more hint...she's RWD, and a lot faster than the G.
Nothing more I say, and no amount of begging shall matter!
Take care everyone. I'll still hangout on the forums for a while, and I'll still answer PM's, etc...but you will definitely be seeing a lot of FS threads up from me. Not the least of which will be a brand new FI RHFC and CBE....whenever it actually ships.

In all fairness, if I would have listened to my wife and bought the car I actually wanted to begin with, instead of trying to act like some "mature daddy family man" that needs a sedan so people will think he's not immature and childish....then I wouldn't be in this situation at all. That's not pointed at anyone buy myself...I am a "daddy family man" or so I've been called...and it has held me back on many the occasion. The wife is the one that basically begged me to get a cheap dd and get the car I wanted...but I said no because I thought I was being the big man, showing people how mature I was. Until she pretty much told me the other day that I needed to just get my stinking car. It's kind of the reason we paid cash for her car, so I could get a toy of my own.
All that being said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I'm sorry you feel like I have no sense of automotive commitment.
I've actually never heard of that, but I guess it just boils down to sticking with the choice you made, right? At the end of the day, we all have to make choices and live with the consequences/repercussions of our actions. I'm willing to live with mine (and in this case, they're not so bad), and I hope that everyone else is able to do the same.
Sorry to hear you'll be moving on Carl, we barely got to know ya
Hopefully you'll have a smooth part-out and get your cash flow toward your new ride ASAP. If you can, or already have, please post more pics of your G in its' current state. All the things you've done will prove helpful to others considering similar setups. Also never hurts when parting out to have the best pictures possible.
Got to do what you really want, and at least you took that G on one of the coolest roads around and enjoyed it for the short time you had it.
G/L and don't be a stranger
BTW, any more clues, like American made???

Yea I know man. I really am sorry in a way to be moving on. I feel like I'm going back on my word to provide solid numbers for these parts, and that's probably the hardest part for me. Plus, I really was planning on trying to make it around to some of the other meets, even if it meant driving up north.
I really am terrible about keeping my mouth shut...and you're making it harder for me. LOL....ummm, it is American made, and it comes stock with 325 rears.
See above...if you all get it right...which shouldn't be too hard...I'll let you know. I guess it's not the end of the world if you know haha.
Very true John. I appreciate the brutal honesty. Believe it or not...it's much better than watered down half truths.
Now....guess away.

This guy is obviously experienced. However, I'm not going for the Z06. Ifffffff my magical dream becomes reality in a few months...it would be the Grand Sport. And it would be a C6 as well. You have to remember I'm going from am Mazda6, to an AWD G37, to a RWD sports car. I think I might want to ease myself into it before I go full blown crazy town lol.
Ok, sounds good. I will still post some pics / vids from ZDayZ when I get a chance...I just never seem to have a chance. I don't have any of that stuff at work...and at home, well...I will be super busy with moving for the next little while.

Thanks for all your contributions here, it was fun to see your intricately detailed posts on your weekly mods! Good luck on your next car adventure and don't forget us slow sedans when you get your new toy.
Yes yes... best wishes, be happy, kumbaya, peace on earth, save a puppy.
I'm still feeling a little like we just got dumped. Although I'm sure to get over it, by this afternoon at least.
